I can't speak to their actual repair skills, but I wanted to say that these guys appear to be the pinnacle of professionalism. This is more of a story than a review but today I witnessed the guy running the Geek Squad check-in desk have the patience of a saint. I was sitting at the counter waiting on a diagnostic on my phone when a woman came in with her laptop. She was so loud the entire area can hear her say that her computer is littered with viruses. Instead of just telling the guy what's wrong she launches into an entire story about how she was scammed by another IT place who didn't get rid of the virus even though she paid them a ton of money and then launched into a whole thing about how the internet is full or spam, scams, danger, etc. The man at the desk remained extremely professional and tried to help her whenever she let him get a word in edgewise. THEN in the middle of her check-in she got a call from the original IT company that worked on her computer. I know this because for at least ten minutes was fighting with him ON SPEAKER for not fixing her computer. It was an extremely rude and truly bizarre thing to do in public. So I just wanted to say bravo to the Geek Squad for being so patient and doing their best with what seemed like a tough customer. Also, thanks for looking at my phone.
I am giving Geek Squad 5 stars for the excellent customer service I received from Jay. I had an issue with my iPhone and called Verizon, they scheduled for a walk in appointment w/ the Geek Squad @ Best Buy within an hour from my call. I walked in and was welcomed by Jay and he patiently listened to my issue and within 5 minutes had it working. Thank you Jay!!
I meet the Geek of the Week at Best Buy last night. Actually, two or three of them. Thanks to Shawn and Michael for their expert help with un-jamming my HP computer. I couldn't figure it out, and it befuddled them for a good 5 or 6 minutes, but Shawn said, "Here! Let me show you how to fix this problem!" Problem fixed! Wow. And guess what. (drum roll please, scroll down) . . . . . . . There as NO CHARGE! Thanks Shawn and Michael and shout out to Dawn who gave me a shout out for my colorful t-shirt commemorating the magnificent life of Ahmaud Arbery (do you know he fought those guys AFTER he was mortally wounded for a good minute or two?).
