Truly a great place to learn and improve. My 2 sons have been going to GKKC for the past few years. In this time, they have improved on their balance, mind, and focus. Master George cares about his students a lot. If you have ever watched Karate kid, this place is Miyagi Do. Simple, nothing fancy, but good teachings. Give this place a try.
My dad, grandfather, along with my cousins have involved themselves in martials arts such as Hapkido, Judo and Tae Kwon do. So when I moved to Glendora, I was looking for an authentic Korean Dojang and fortunately I found Soo Bahk Do which not many people have heard about. I was surprised to learn that it's based on an ancient Korean system passed down from the Ku Ko Ryu Dynasty over 2000 years. Therefore, Soo Bahk Do is the oldest known Korean martial art form. The new location over at Covina has ample space, is clean and has a great learning environment. Master George has done a great job with my kids and my friends kids who are between the ages of 5-7. He has a great deal of patience and works really well with this age group to make sure they understand the concepts and forms. We also appreciate how he keeps the traditions while utilizing Korean in his commands and teachings. We have been going for a year now and I can say my kids confidence has increased along with their discipline and self control. The small classes has helped a lot which allows for more individualized guidance and support.Recently my kids went to a karate tournament and it was really a great experience for them. Master George worked tirelessly to ensure they practice their combination forms along with sparing techniques to get enough points to win.Overall I highly recommend sending your kids here :)
Master George is an amazing karate instructor who works really well.with kids especially with the ages from 5 to 7 years old. He really has a lot of patience and is firm, fair and fun. Learning karate here helps my sons to learn discipline while learning how to defend for themselves especially in the age of bullying. Classes occur twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. I recommend trying Soh Bak Do which is the original ancient Korean art form.
