He has been cutting hair over 30 years and took a look at the sample photo I provided, spent a generous amount of time talking through how I wanted it and then executed it somehow both carefully and quickly. It turned out great and if for some reason I felt I wanted an adjustment he said I could come back anytime within 5 days and he’d fix it free of charge. I don’t need to, but it’s a cool guarantee. It’s a small place and does feel like a barn, but he can sure cut hair. Cash only. Was $35

I have been enjoying haircuts by Fred for probably thirty years. During that time, I have lost 50% of my hair, but the cost has actually increased. So while the price-to-hair ratio has increased, the value has remained excellent. And if you enjoy old hand tools, Fred has quite a collection displayed on the walls!
