I want to give an enthusiastic shout-out to both the staff and to Mr. Tom Salazar, in particular, owner and President of Specialized Surfaces, for the excellent service his staff provided, in repairing a section of wood flooring accidentally damaged by one of my movers, during a residential move we completed, recently, in Dana Point, CA. IMO and that of my customer, as well, the quality of workmanship performed was second to none, as not only did Specialized Surfaces restore the damaged section to its original look (i.e., color & sheen) but also in taking steps to closely match the look of additional wood flooring, covering other rooms also situated on the domicile's first floor. I very much appreciated Mr. Salazar's patience and understanding, in resolving a minor miscommunication problem that occurred among two of his technicians and myself, and thus, allowing the job to move forward to its happy conclusion. It speaks volumes to Mr. Salazar's experience as a seasoned purveyor of the human condition. I recommend Specialized Surfaces to anyone seeking assistance to repair/restore their wood flooring. We have a 20 year old entry way to kitchen Brazilian Cherrywood floor that was looking awful. We thought we needed to replace but I found Specialized Surfaces and contacted them for an appt and Tom the owner was amazing and the crew he sent was incredible. I knew when I saw 3 men hand sanding our floor it would look great in the end which is what happened. Tom suggested to put a satin sheen on the floor instead of the original gloss coat. I didn't know how it would look but it turned out amazing and as Tom said, it will be so much easier to take care of and hides everything. Will absolutely recommend Tom and his company to friends who need something done to their flooring.
