The legalization or our circa 1949 338 sq. ft. JADU was a project proposal that few would even consider bidding. The preferred solution was demolition and new build. But our preference was the legalization of the existing structure. After engineering and County plan approval, we went to bid and chose John Christopher Construction as bid and project managed by Chris Manos. This project had several difficult nuances. The Foundation needed to be retrofitted without demolishing the structure. Unique is the Fotile in-counter dishwasher that makes functional space use of the corner countertop. Throughout Chris maintained communication and came through with solutions that brought our circa 1949 JADU into 2023 legal status with a fresh and updated style. Chris and his team saw the project through to milestone goal completion. Our JADU is permitted by the County, has a certificate of occupancy, and looks great!

I would give Coastal Handyman Pros 10 stars if I could. John and was very professional and had excellent communication, plus he was always on time. The bid was reasonable and they followed through on scheduling. The workers were on time, courteous (they actually introduced themselves) and did an excellent job. Very pleased with the experience.

I was referred to Coastal Handyman Pros and worked closely with Brooklyn on the details of the various jobs that needed to be done. We discussed everything in detail and today Zach came and took care of everything on my list. He was on time, efficient, knowledgeable, polite. cleaned up afterward and did a really good job!!!
