Bank of California Building, 400 California St, San Francisco“The bank is in the "Grand Old Lady of California Street", which was the third designated San Francisco landmark. The stone building, which was built after 1906 is majestic with it columns and large windows. The interior is open with ample use of stone/marble, and beautiful ceilings and cornices. I came to open an account and was assisted by Brent, who was friendly and efficient in setting up my account. He provided all the documentation for my records and the information that I needed to set-up my online access. In talking to Brent about the beauty of this bank, he mentioned that I could visit the museum in the basement that has displays on the history of the Bank and the building. The Bank of California museum is down the stairs on the left of the entrance, is open the public and the admission is free. The museum is small and you should be able to browse the displays in full in about 20-30 minutes. It provides a look into the history of the Bank of California and its role in the development of the Western United States. I had a good experience with the opening of my account and had a nice museum tour afterwards.“
