“Great fade and even better people: I booked with CJ online via Booksy, not knowing what to expect. I was looking for an awesome fade and somewhere that I could see myself going to consistently. I went to the APEX in Colma and this place was super spacious and clean inside. You have to check it out yourself but the setup is great (CJ has the loft space up the spiral stairs). Right off the bat CJ was super respectful and knowledgeable about what type of cut I wanted. He made me feel right at home. As a first time customer, he explained that he likes to take his time to learn your head shape and how he can give you the best cut possible. His technique is clean just like his station. CJ is also a foodie so come prepared to talk good food. Overall, it was a great experience, cut lasted about an hour and the fade is top notch. Suffice to say, after going to see CJ and choppin it up with him, I will be back and I highly recommend Apex.“

I asked him to keep the hair longer on top but do a drop fade on the sides and back and he certainly did that, also the shave service was on point! “I grew my hair out long during COVID and enjoyed having longer hair to style. However, it was time to return to a shorter, lower maintenance, cut. When I had my hair short pre-pandemic, I would always cut my own hair due to having haircuts in the past that were less than great (way too short, too high of a fade, etc). Was looking for a barber in SF with experience with Asian hair to do a 2 block haircut and found Thomas from 20th Salon and Barber. Looked through his haircut portfolio and really liked his scissor and clipper work. Booked a signature haircut with him and was in and out in about 30 minutes. I explained what I wanted, provided Thomas with a few reference photos and he very quickly had a good idea of what to do. He was very responsive to my ideas and added his suggestions/input before and throughout the cut. Explained things very simply and was very easy to understand. Also very laid back and easy to talk to. Loving the new cut and will definitely go back for another cut in the future!“
