I wished I would have taken the advice of someone who had a bad experience with this draftsman and actually warned me to stay away. I didn't and ended up in the same boat as the previous reviewers here. Hopefully, everyone does at least a Google search on the person and company name of who they are going to hire for a job. If you end up here know that all of these reviews, as hard as they may be to believe are completely true and we went through the exact same situation! Absolutely horrific experience. Francisco Godinez of Specialties Design is completely unreliable and a total crook. We had the exact same experience as the other reviewers: Francisco takes your money to get started on the project, promises plans by a specific date, and when that date comes, he is completely non-responsive. We started working with him in August and no longer heard from him after January... and we still have no plans! He of course has our money though. We ended up having to spend thousands more to hire someone else (who by the way was completely professional and had our plans to us in one week. If I could give zero stars, I would. Francisco Godinez was the architect that was working with us with the Specialties Design company. We signed a contract in 2016. We gave half the payment and he submitted plans, once the city asked for revisions, he asked us to meet at the Permit office so we could pay the permits and he collected the other half of the payment for a total of $4500. After this there were no more plans. So not only am I out $4500 but I also paid over $3k in Permit fees. Do NOT use this company or this architect- they will just rob you of your hard earned money.
