I love it going here. Been going here for about 5 years. I always make appointment with the owner. She is very polite and knows what she is doing. Please help the local businesses. I highly recommend this place.
Thank you Cindy! My go-to lady for haircuts and perms. Great prices too! They welcome walk-ins, but its usually better to schedule an appointment ahead of time. Even though I'm leaving the state, I'll 100% come back when I come home if I'm ever in need of a haircut.
Been here twice so here's my hair story! I had Asian black hair with light brown balayage and wanted to go with a lighter, especially at the tips, but still natural look. I was in Chino Hills at the time visiting family, so I decided to give this place a try. The Korean ladies that work there were very nice, but their English weren't great. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and thought I got my point across. The owner quoted me a price that seemed reasonable, so I sat down for the bleaching/processing part. It took a good 3 hours (they kept saying it wasn't light enough but also gave me some Korean snacks to munch on), but after they finally washed it off and even after the toner, it was a bright brassy yellow with a pretty harsh line between the black roots and the yellow hair. Google image "bad ombre" and that's basically what it looked like. Nothing like the picture I had showed. I began to panic and told the owner that's not what I wanted. She was very receptive and began to put some more stuff on my hair. I don't know exactly what she did or how she did it, but I ended up with this nice silver/platinum blonde ombre look. It kept getting better with washes too as it became more and more blended, with a gradient developing between my natural black hair and the blonde tips. I have received lots of compliments on my hair color since! Three months later I was in town again and decided to go back for some toner. I wanted to get the brassy yellow out of my hair. The ladies remembered me and offered me more Korean snacks and drinks. Again, I'm not exactly sure what they used on my hair, because in my mind, toner should not cost around $100. They put some stuff on my hair and sure enough, my hair color was cooled down overall. My hair was pretty damaged from all the processing, so they included a complimentary repair treatment where they put a deep conditioner on and went over it with an ionizing flat iron to "seal the hair follicles." My hair was nice and soft after, but it only lasted about a month. Color-wise, after some washes, I now basically have the same nice blended blonde ombre look. Overall, great service with great results. I took off a star because I never felt like I knew what was going on. I never knew what exactly was going on my hair, both times I was there. The ladies would speak Korean to each other, even about what to do with my hair, so there was a slight language barrier between us. If you don't speak Korean, I would recommend being very clear about what you want, showing lots of pictures, and communicate throughout the process! Also, I couldn't find a standard pricing menu or their services. The owner simply pulled out a number for a quote each time I was there. Not saying she was ripping me off, but I would like to see more transparency. Nice people though and things ended up okay!
