I had an expensive pair of leather slippers. The sole was coming loose (unstitched) around part of the slipper(s) and I took it to Pat. I've used this business in the past with excellent results. I had the same experience this time. There is no other business in Chico that I would trust to repair shoes, boots, slippers, etc. Pat is an old school craftsman. I've seen other reviews who said he "didn't do what I wanted" but I've found that, as long as you clearly state what you want done, that is what you will get. Each time I've use his services he talked with me about what I specifically wanted done and then gave me the options. I've chosen what I considered the best options (not necessarily the cheapest options) and have been extremely satisfied with the results and the price.

Gave them an expensive pair of boots with a unique color that were so scuffed that the color was completely gone. Another shoe repair place shined them up with an oil-based cleaner, which made the problem worse. David worked on them until they looked great. It was a ton of extra work, but they never changed my original quote, and I'm really happy with the outcome!

He fixed my purse strings (old fashion purse with draw strings to close the purse), and did a great job. Another shoe repair was clueless and charged me nonetheless for a job not done well!!!!
