“Google limited my word count when I was updating my last review and I can't say enough good things about this man. I won't go on ad infinitum but the last review simply wasn't enough to express my appreciation for this man: How a guy can take patient care so seriously in a rapaciously competitive industry that increasingly prioritizes profit over patient care is beyond me. it is so incredibly hard to run a business like this against companies which can spread their costs across multiple offices and have major discounts for all of those costs because they buy larger quantities. Nevertheless, for Steven McComb patient care is his number one concern. The last thing i want to comment on which goes extremely under appreciated in the industry is that Dr. McComb is one of the few people left in this industry who treats his staff so well that you see the same faces year after year. Those front office positions and dental assisting are harder than people think and it can be incredibly stressful generating co-pay estimates because patients expect them to be exactly correct and perfect 100% of the time and there are a million insurances and they have a million stipulations and reasons to deny claims and so on. for this reason most dental offices have someone new up front and a new manager every other time you go to see them and the patients care, the accuracy of their estimates, the follow up, and personal care for their well being suffers tremendously with staff who are in and out the door constantly. at the end of the day the dentist doesn't have time to call you to remind you to get that filling he diagnosed you with so you need well trained and dedicated front office staff who have not only the compassion, but the skills and efficiency to make sure that you are updated and reminded about your care and Dr. McCombs staff are so experienced and well trained they can answer any and every question you might have after the diagnosis is made. i'm not saying you should ask them, im just saying that its rare to have that degree of professionalism and capabilities spread across an entire dental office from tip to top. these people know what they are doing and they will give you the absolute best care you can find in Chico. Don't let this extremely rare gem of a human being disappear into the diaspora of corporate denture mills of modern dentistry. He is one of the few left and his fees are roughly exactly the same as anywhere and actually lower than you'll see most places for cash fees. Even if you do have to pay extra, do it! it will save you money in the long run i 100% promise you it will because better care means better outcomes and you won't have to keep coming back and fixing the same tooth for yet another fee year after year. of course this should all be taken under the disclaimer that you still have to take care of your teeth after you leave, but if you do, you can count on having the best long term prognosis you're going to find from any dentist in Chico. Thank you Steven, Melissa, and everyone else in that phenomenal practice. you are one of the few true health care providers left in the country and i don't know how you do it in the modern health care business environment: i have to assume its because your other patients see what I have come to see and are truly loyal to you because they know they can trust you. I truly have grown to admire you since i moved away and began working in this industry and i can't thank you enough. stay well and keep being a shining light of good in an increasingly dark health care environment. “I love NVIH! Every time I go am I am quickly checked in. I love the staff! I started at the new clinic by Meriam Park but my provider moved so I got transferred to East Ave . I was so bummed because I got really attached to Selina but she told me I would be well taken care of at East Ave . She wasn't wrong! Connie at East Ave always makes me feel welcomed and Nakita Green is amazing !!!! I am so blessed that she is my provider ! She listens , comes in prepared and really knows what she's talking about ! Everyone at each establishment is amazing !!!!“

“These guys are great! Dr. Guevarra and his staff are super friendly, and last time I was in, I heard lots of laughter going on. I've been truant from dental care (because of being shamed by other dentists) and my mouth was a mess. They have brought me back and I look forward to my next visit! Within an hour he had my crown glued back on, no pain and barely even had to make adjustments afterwards! What wonderful people they are. My smile was a mess with missing front teeth due to being assaulted and kicked in the mouth. From the very moment I walked in to their office they were so kind and non judgemental to my two black eyes and fat lip literally one of my most humiliating day's of my life. Kramer and his staff could tell I was ashamed and embarrassed and they went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home in their care. This included finding me the best payment plan to ensure I got my smile fixed in a matter of days!
And so affordable.
I feel like these guys are not changing people's lives by filing their pocket and emptying yours. They're doing it because they care.

“I cannot recommend Nelsen Family Dentistry enough! I have had one dentist my entire life and she recently retired, so I haven't been seen since 2021. I discovered NFD on Yelp and decided to give them a try after reading the excellent reviews. I had a deep cleaning done as well as 2 old fillings replaced by Dr. Missy and some wonderful hygienists and assistants. I have always had dental anxiety especially getting anesthesia and they made it very tolerable and comfortable for me! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring team :)“

“Family, quality and comfortability are the terms I use when describing Hanosh and Hunter Dental Group. From my initial exam two years ago to my recent crown last month, their focus is not only at the time of treatment but for my future dental health. I Feel as though they truly care about me, my concerns and my overall health as a patient. I can't say enough in regard to the quality of services I've received.
