After having the service for many years, we reviewed our security footage. The Clark representative did such a minimal amount of work that we were flabbergasted! He literally walked around our house and got back in his truck, hardly spraying two bushes in the front and nothing on the sides or back. We contacted Clark, but it was such a complicated process to work with their management to review footage, do the disciplinary work for follow up, try, and get the bugs out of our yard... That we just said, we quit!
Clark has been great for us. We live in the middle of nowhere and they always show up and do a good job. The one time ants were bad and I called them between services, Michael S came out personally, that day, and sprayed again. Tristan is excellent, he's our normal tech. He always takes the time to check with us and see if everything is good. He truly goes above and beyond. I highly recommend these guys
I In 2009 or 2010, I signed up with Clark for their most thorough package that had a exclusion guarantee and for roughly 8 years I was satisfied--I even wrote a positive Yelp review. I paid the monthly charge without fail. Then I had a rat infestation. An exclusion expert found and sealed up the access--success!. No more problems until 4 or 5 months ago. The rats returned. The service tech set traps and caught a number of rats...but they were still getting in. and nesting. The new exclusion expert --Lance -- came out and 'inspected' the building. He did not use a ladder, or climb up to look at the eaves. He stayed in the ground and looked up--that's it. Lance said he didn't see an access route and because I was not charged last time (I don't know why not) the guarantee did not apply. If Clark's did not charge me 5 years ago, shame on them. But they did the work, there was a guarantee and the rats returned. Lancet refused to honor the guarantee and told me to hire a handyman. If Clark did the work, it would be at an outrageous rate...I think he said something like $200/hour but I was so mad and offended I may not have remembered it correctly. The price was definitely WAY higher than the (rare) local labor rates-- I am paying for a remodel right now and am familiar with the cost of labor. In addition, Lance was rude from the get-go. He was wrong on the applicability of the contract and he is terrible at customer service. Later I asked around and learned that Clark Pest Control was consolidated with a couple of other national pest control companies. I don't know the details, but I do know that when you call the local office number, a call center somewhere else in the country takes the call and refers it the local office. So this is no longer a local business. I fired them.
