“I refer everyone I know who have pets to Dr. Wallace, DVM at Ceres Veterinary. They are easy to work with and Dr. Wallace is a superb surgeon. I am positive that she has extended the life of my 13 year old Westie after a major surgery to remove a 1 lb. tumor from his chest wall. The entire staff is knowledgeable about taking care of the kittens that I foster. Very helpful. I can’t thank them enough.“

“The only veterinary office I will take my pets to. Dr. Kahler is a great vet, very knowledgeable and personable. I had to say good bye to my ferret a couple years ago and he was right there with me almost crying along. He cares for your pet as much as you do. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. “This vet office saved us from having a horrible day after rescuing a kitten. We saved a kitten from being run over in the middle of the road, eyes closed shut from an upper respiratory infection. We first went to Monte Vista emergency vet. They were unfortunately closed because of the Holiday weekend. Called and asked if they humanely take cats in and said they could so we went to the emergency Vet off Taylor. After waiting around for about 4 hours they told me they could not euthanize the cat. My wife and I were pissed we waited 4 hours because we wanted to humanely surrender a kitten we wanted to save and not kill!<br><br>The vets office inside of this petco has individuals that truly care for animals. Even without an appointment they were able to squeeze us in to get an emergency visit, clean the kitten, and provide medication. It was very heartwarming to know that there are amazing people working there. I didn’t catch the receptionists name but I would like to thank her for checking with the vet and getting us in. Thank you as well to Jessica the vet tech, and the vet whose name escapes me. You all are amazing people.“

“All the vets are great with the animals, and the staff are always very helpful. This practice provides excellent care for the animals and they have extremely reasonable prices. You will not find a better veterinary practice for your livestock.“

“My family has been bringing our pets to River Oak for 20+ years. Dr. Shaner and staff went out of their way to save our dog, Pearl, when she was hit by a car as a pup. They performed extensive surgeries including grafting of skin to save her life. She has passed but her portrait is beautifully displayed in their office as is our cat, Moo. Since than we have had the our pets in the care of Dr. Chatfield, and Dr. Drew. Dr. Chatfield went above and beyond when my puppy Cody had ear issues. With her care, knowledge and guidance, he was able to overcome and did not require surgery. Most recently they went out of their way to get my Bailey in to confirm if she may have a problematic pregnancy in an emergency. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are that we have River Oak Veterinary to care for our loved ones in the most dire times. Despite the changes in vet staffing, the level of care has never faltered and I whole heartedly will continue to recommend and celebrate the entire staff of River Oak.“

“I have used this vet twice, and received fantastic service from caring staff and really well skilled vets.<br>When the lab the blood test was sent to for my mare's Coggins test lost the sample, the vet came an hour drive to my house to redraw the blood that day for no charge. I had the results back in less than 24 hours so our trip went on as planned.<br>When I brought my beloved horse, whom I had for 25 years, for his final rest, I was given the most compassion that I have EVER had at a vet hospital. Over the last 50+ years of owning horses and doing a lot of rescue, I have never had such compassion from a vet and staff. This is absolutely the best equine vet in the Central Valley, hands down.“

“I don't know much about this place we just went there when our one dog had to be put to sleep she had a twisted stomach and we had switched her to canned food and it was Old Roy brand and basically she got emaciated on it and because of the emaciation from that we couldn't do the surgery to straighten out a stomach she was just too sickly from it. She was however double her life expectancy which is usually 9 years she was 18 the vets were very impressed.“

“Has been the vet for our family's pets for years. We trust him, and have he has even saved one of our pets from Parvo. Always handles them kindly, and never overcharged for his services. We followed him from Modesto Vet Hospital fo Standiford Vet Hosp. Because we trust him.“

“We just got a new kitten. That was found abandoned. She is about 10 weeks now. They took great care of her. Cleaning out her ears. Gave her first shots and microchip.“

“The rescue I foster dogs through needed a good value spay/neuter clinic so that we could stay within budget for our rescue dogs. This place was perfect for it! The pricing is very straightforward, drop-off and pick-up are well organized, and the staff were very nice despite the high volume. My current foster dog healed up very nicely without any issues and the sutures looked professionally done. We will absolutely bring future foster dogs here!“

That being said, the entire staff was beyond empathetic, understanding, making what I was thinking would be my dogs last day. Thankfully he slowly came out of it and has made almost a full recovery. The Dr. was extremely explanatory in options and continued care. For this reason, I will be taking him back for an ear issue he's continued to have that the seemingly "top clinic" in Escalon couldn't seem to get a handle on.“

“I’ve been seeing Dr. Mike and Dr. Chad for many years. You cannot find better doctors in the area. There are so many reasons why I’m giving them this rating. The staff is wonderful, communications are excellent, they do what they say they are going to do, and you don’t wait for hours and hours to see them. You won’t find better fees. I would almost keep this rating to myself so that I can get appointments without competing with you. However, they are just so good that they deserve a 10 out of 5. Consider yourself lucky that I’m sharing this with you. I love my veterinarians.“

“The staff is so friendly and helpful, to get an appointment is not difficult, and they even text to check in about your pets days after the appointment to make sure everything is going well. They are very efficient and so far have done wonderful helping my pets. I am willing to pay whatever I need to get my fur babies taken care of, but the price is my only complaint. They are very expensive. With that being said, I am grateful that they do take good care of my pets“

“Sadly our pet went to doggy heaven today. The employees were very courteous and respectful. They have private space for you to take the time you need with your pet. A blanket is provided, treats, and music. It definitely made for a more comfortable experienceThank you“
