The hospitality was okay. I was not in the same room as my dog. The Vet failed to judge my dogs condition, thinking he needed anesthetic when another hospital was able to X-ray my dog without it. The vet didn’t even offer to give my dog any pain medication after I declined to pay for multiple tests that seemed irrelevant to the cause of my dog’s condition, but required my the doctor. I found more reasonable and better care elsewhere.

I took my rabbit, Thumper, to Castro Valley Animal Hospital for a routine check-up. The facility was notably clean and the staff greeted us warmly, which set a welcoming tone right from the start. The veterinarian was knowledgeable and handled Thumper with great care, clearly explaining his health status and any concerns. However, the pricing was slightly higher than I anticipated, and not all service fees were explained beforehand, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the care was good, and Thumper is doing well, but clearer communication about costs would have made the experience better.

I brought my cat, Luna, to Castro Valley Animal Hospital for a health check-up. The clinic was clean, and the staff were warm and attentive, making Luna comfortable quickly. The vet provided thorough care but the appointment felt rushed due to their busy schedule. Although the care was professional, the wait time was longer than expected. Overall, Luna's health improved after the visit, and I appreciated the follow-up call checking in on her. I recommend this clinic but suggest confirming the timing ahead.
