Since moving to the US in 2019, Jay has been my go-to barber. As a Filipino migrant, finding a good barber was initially challenging, but stumbling upon Jay's shop on Main Street was a pleasant surprise. Jay, a professional and friendly Filipino barber, not only gives me great haircuts, but also became a close friend. Even my wife, who wasn't a fan of my previous haircuts, now approves of Jay's work. Jay is not just a barber to me, but a trusted friend. His attention to detail and quality of work set him apart.

I've known Jay since elementary school. So when I found out that not only do our boys go to the same school and are in the same class AND he has his own shop...it was a win for me! My son's have been going to him for several years now and are always satisfied with his precise work. If you are looking for a barber this is your guy!

Jay is hands down the best barber I've been to!I needed a hair cut and I looked up Jay on Yelp. Wasn't sure if it was appointment only or walk-in, so I said "what the hell? I'll just show up to his shop." Ask soon as I opened his door, I saw Jay cutting someone else's hair. I asked him if he's doing walk-ins and he said no. The conversation didn't end there! Jay stopped what he was doing and He told me that he has an opening at 6am!! ::side note:: never met a barber that cut hair at 6am!!Long story short he set me up immediately and put me in his books for 6am the next day!Not only is Jay the best barber in LA, but his customer service is beyond what I've ever experienced!...read full review

Use of Hand sanitizers, and temperature checks are required before sitting for your service. Services ranging from Traditional Haircuts, Bald Fades, Tapers, Line-ups, Hot-Towel Shaves, as well as the classic “square the back.” Our customers become family, and you will definitely see the difference of hospitality at StripedUp Barbershop.
