13766 Center St Suite 28, Carmel Valley“Highly recommend Brandy for your next massage! I booked a 90 minute massage in her studio in the village. You go up the brick stairs and its to the right at the end of the hall on the left. The studio space is extremely comfortable. She has a consultation room and then a separate room for the massage. She offers the option for a heated table (game changer if you've never experienced it). Brandy was very professional and has experience using a variety of different modalities from lomi lomi to techniques from Esalen (an esteemed massage school). I felt extremely comfortable, relaxed, and rejuvenated when I left. I'm sure there's many great therapists in the peninsula, but I was grateful to find Brandy.“

21 Upper Ragsdale Dr #125, Monterey“I have been treated at Balance Physical Therapy, Monterey twice in 2024 and 2025. In 2025 Dr. Devesh Digwal who is a real knowledgeable, experienced and caring PT treated my left knee that has a torn meniscus so well that prevented any need to surgery. I have recovered now. The staff are very helpful and caring.
In 2024 Arash and his team at Balance helped me greatly with my lower back pain, and now I am fully recovered.
I highly recommend Balance PT in Monterey area.“

I especially want to give a shout out to Aaron and Tony--my therapists. They were patient, attentive and compassionate. Thanks to them I am feeling stronger and well on my way to a full recovery. I work on clients 6 days a week and have alot of knots and inflammation in my upper back/neck. His technique is so great because he targets exactly all of my pain points with the perfect amount of pressure to work the knots good, but in a really therapeutic and relaxing rhythm that makes you feel relaxed at the same time. I’ve been to people where the massage isn’t relaxing at all and its just holding my breath in pain waiting for it to be over; but this is the best of both worlds. I know we’re doing good work and I leave walking on clouds. I’m also really sensitive to energy and can feel he’s a clear channel for strong energetic flow through the body. Just get on his busy books, you will not be disappointed!“
“Visiting family in town and decided to take the Strength & Flow class, I’m so glad I did! What an amazing space with great instructors. Highly recommend this studio :)“

1173 Fremont Blvd Ste B, Seaside“I'm so sad to see the low score this place is amazing! I posted it in next door because I've been going here two years and won't go anywhere else! Jody works wonders!!! I'd just like to say how disgusting it is that all the bad reviews are because: 1. They were busy (uhhh try making an appointment duh! I always do!) 2. The smell ( the rooms smell fine but if you go on their lunch break and they just used the microwave you might smell there lunch BE REASONABLE PEOPLE they are human and have to eat too!) or 3. the ladies speaking in their own language! (If your gonna give someone a review based on nationality and language it's just wrong!) I judged based on skill and skill alone! If you want a good massage this is the place ! If you want spa treatment go to a spa! This place gives Freedom from pain! This is a diamond in the rough! I've never been so happy with a massage as I am here. I've been on an off for two years with sciatica and neck pain and Jody is uhmazing!!! The other two that work there are good too but she's definitely my favorite. I know they just reopened with covid and their prices are very reasonable... poor advertising cuz it says foot spa but FULL BODY DEEP TISSUE is TO DIE FOR!!! I seriously haven't been to another place in two years because I can't find anyone that fixes pain like this place! They do gift certificates and Christmas is around the corner and they are finally open! I'd love for them to stay open so as a community let's give them our love and stop in for the best full body massage of your life!!!“

885 Broadway Ave, Seaside“i was in town last weds PM. the 10th. It was Late. I actually walked past the place. Never seeing it, it was so dark in the front.
After walking down the street I turned around and returned.
Saw the Open sign. pulled on door an walked in.
The Lady was good at massage. She actually worked my back and long ago broken parts. With care and variable pressure. Allowing me to MOVE and reposition appropriately as she worked. Understand I have been very broken. 40 plus surgeries repairing my very broken body. SHE Did not blink or hesitate. She had it well within her wheel house. She was able to Crack and pop my very soreness in a relief fashion. It was great to walk back to my hotel Embassy Suites afterwards.
Calm place, Quiet place in the later evening, Not over blaring loud music, Calm cool Masseuse who knew her Worth and job. Who did not blink at my scars or devices!~!“
“Came to Carmel for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we were so excited to go to Refuge. We both got a day pass. I believe we were some of the first people there a bit after 9 am. It started off great! For a while we got a few pools to ourselves all in the warm setting. We got into the steam room and I loved the eucalyptus one!! For my partner it was a bit too strong, so I suggest for people with sensitive smells to just try the other room. We then wanted to sit around the fire place, but there were seats taken with towels or only one chair available between people and my partner and I wanted to sit next to each other. We ended up going to a fireplace in a corner where a couple started reserving the seats since the morning. They also got there kind of early after us and we noticed when they put their towels down on the chairs. My boyfriend asked if they could move their towels so we could sit down. At first the woman had said yes but her partner said they were going to sit down after a few minutes. Mind you this is now around 11 am and I had seen them in the sauna rooms and walking around (it was a Monday so it wasn't that busy.) So then my boyfriend said I'm sorry but you aren't able to reserve seats and the girl seemed shocked and said but everyone else is doing it. Her partner ended up moving a chair towards the fire pit and we sat down. It was an uncomfortable situation for us and them. I wish there could've been a worker walking around making sure people weren't reserving seats, so my partner and I could've avoided this awkward tension with others. After that we went to the relaxation room. My partner and I thought to ourselves at first who would enter this room when there's other things to enjoy, but oh boy were we wrong. My boyfriend took a nap and I closed my eyes for a while and just enjoyed the silence bliss. My boyfriend ended up snoring and I had to wake him up. He was a bit embarrassed, but he really ended up enjoying that room. We ended up going to a pool with another couple and a single person. Another couple ended up coming into the pool and were talking out loud. I was bothered and so was the girl in the other couple. She ended up whispering in her partner's ear and they got out immediately. I went into the hammock next to the pool as I no longer wanted to be next to couple either, but my boyfriend stayed inside. He was also bothered but not enough to get out. The shower had a lot of space inside. I wish there was a place to get ready I had brought my make up to do, but I ended up not doing it since I didn't want to be in the way of other people blow drying their hair it was the only spot with lighting and a mirror. It is a bit of tight space. My only regret was not bringing a book. So many women were reading near the fire place and it seemed such a relaxing thing to do. The weather was gloomy and I loved it that way. It did start sprinkling while we were there which was no problem. The ambience was great. Hopefully there can be more surveillance on the rules about the talking and reserving chairs, but other than that it was a great. I would definitely recommend this place.“
