Total Vision Carlsbad Plaza Dr. Stemley

I had a particularly stressful evening one night and experienced some temporary vision issues. Needless to say I was concerned and wanted to get it checked out. Called around to several places and was able to get a same day appointment here. The front office was really nice and the doctor who I saw was great. She took her time to explain things and reassured me that my eyes looked healthy, etc. As I'm sure most optometrist offices have, they are able to take a picture back behind your eye to really check out the health of everything and be able to compare for future reference. I loved my optometrist in LA. We moved to North County and I had to find another office for annual exams. I really had a lot of hesitation about changing my doctor but the drive to LA for annual exams and frame pick-up was not worth it to me. Total Vision is in-network for my vision insurance and close to home. I had about a million second thoughts about switching from a "mom and pop" doctor to a corporate-run office but this seems to be the way the medical field is going these days. I have been going to Dr. Stemley for 10 years, and am very happy with my vision and the excellent customer service that I receive. I always leave knowing that if I have any issues with the way my glasses fit or my vision, they will work with me to make my glasses fit comfortably and ensure that I have the best possible vision. It is a very friendly atmosphere and I feel welcomed and valued. And bonus...they have really cute frames too!
