Cute, cozy salon with in the Carlsbad Village. Got a great haircut. I will return for sure. Making appt online was ok but phone calls weren't possible as messages were full. Also they don't take credit cards, which is good to know beforehand. But easy parking and reasonable prices. Think I found my new place. Check them out!

I won a gift certificate 5 years ago and it lead me to the best hairstylist I have ever had. Corey from elements salon really knows hair. There are so many great things about her work and her, I would never be able to put it all in this review. I have lived in NYC and paid $300 for a cut and color from very prestiges salons and was never as satisfied as I was with Corey. She listens to your wants and what you are looking for. She offers suggestions that really work with your style. She has even taken the time to show me how to style my hair when she is not around. My cuts always grow out so nicely. If you live in San Diego this is your girl... I recently had to move away and I am trying to plan my trips back to San diego to see her. I have never left her chair not feeling like a million bucks . Go to her. I strongly, strongly refer her.

I've always enjoyed supporting smaller, "off-the-beaten-path" establishments, and Elements Salon fits the bill perfectly. Housed in a small nook in a short walkway off Carlsbad Village Drive, Elements offers a warm, at-home like vibe not found in larger, busier salons. Visiting their website this past Tuesday, I submitted an appointment request for the following day and received a prompt response, asking if I could come in at 10 AM on Wednesday. Of course I replied "Yes," and was greeted that morning by Nicole. After offering me a cup of tea, she asked what I wanted done with what can only be described as the wild mop of hair I'd let grow out... Nicole worked with me as I asked for a bit more cut here, a bit more shaped there, until the mop was tamed and looking great - still long-ish the way I like it, but no longer out of control. She is extremely friendly and conversant, and her years of experience styling hair are evident in the end result. As I told her on my way out the door, "I don't get haircuts very often, but when I do, I'll be coming back to see you here at Element Salon."
