My husband generously bought me two 90-minute massages, just because. They must not get a lot of such gifts because they don't have traditional gift certificates; instead the person used two of their loyalty cards and wrote on each that it was good for a 90-minute massage for one year from the date of purchase. So I scheduled my first massage. The woman spoke almost no English which makes communicating difficult about what kind of massage I want and where things hurt. She gave me a reasonable massage but the pressure was uncomfortably hard. You would think a masseuse would notice that the person she is working on is tensing up but either she didn't notice or she didn't care. Afterward I gave her one of the cards. Apparently she didn't understand that the massage had been paid for, and insisted I sit down while she made several phone calls trying to sort it out. After about 15 minutes I left, the experience completely ruined.A couple months later I hesitantly scheduled the second massage. This woman spoke a bit more English, and did ask about the pressure. But throughout the entire massage she used too much pressure and kept hurting me. I told her each time, and she eased up, but then went right back to working my muscles to the point of pain. She also left the room several times for several minutes at a time with no explanation. And she giggled repeatedly, about what I don't know. Afterward she had no problem with the gift card, thankfully, but was careful to tell me that the gratuity was not included. My husband said it was, because I asked him before going, but I wasn't going to argue with her. I gave her $10 and left.I will not go back, and I do not recommend the spa. A massage should not hurt, and I shouldn't have to say so more than once.

Great massage, especially if you are not modest (the sheet was not covering my backside much of the time). The massage tech had strong hands and was receptive to feedback. Very polite and professional.
