I strongly do not recommend. I was with this doc for a few years and should have switched earlier.Takes weeks to refill prescriptions. 3-5 days just to get a call back when you inquire about prescription that pharmacy already requested. If you go - make sure you’re not assigned a resident as your PCP or your Dr will disappear and you will not be notified. Then you have to do another intake (despite having established care for years). And repeat.
I come to UMG Campbell for my primary care needs and I've never had a bad experience. The clinic has a spot in a medical building which has ample parking outside. The actual office location is on the first floor and it's one of the first doors as you head down the corridor. The receptionists have been very pleasant every time that I've visited. They check me in very quickly, are thorough updating my records (insurance, address info, pharmacy info) so I don't have to stress about it later. The waiting room is quite spacious and it's never really that busy which I suspect is because their appointments are always on time. There are a few amenities while you wait including wifi (password is by the reception desk), water, and coffee. I've never felt rushed during my appointments at all. You can book your appointments online and depending on your concern type, they will allot more or less time. You can see how long the appointment time is online or you can ask if you're making your appointment over the phone. I recommend being straight up with what you're trying to book for to ensure they have enough time for you. The physicals are usually a 1 hour slot and miscellaneous concerns I've had have been 20 minutes for a reference point. One small point is if you have insurance, make sure that you're in network. The receptionists cannot check this for you. This has to be done through your insurance provider. UMG is one of Stanford clinics and they tend to be on the expensive side from what I've been told by the staff.
I came here for my first time since I joined the Stanford Health Alliance. To be honest, the doctor was nice enough but was expensive and unclear regarding the exam procedures. Although I came in for a routine annual physical and a cold, I was charged nearly $550 for this one time visit due to first patient form and setup. I really feel the medical bills in US has gone through the roof with the lack of clarity in terms of medical insurance coverages and doctors overcharging for routine checkups. I highly recommend those that are looking for basic annual checkups to ensure to look for primary physicians and set up a preventative appointment rather than any other appointment since preventative care is covered 100% by most insurances. This can help avoid a lot of headaches for the wrong appointment and wrong procedures being done, not only hampering your health needs but also finance. Buyers beware!
