“I contacted numerous photographers in the Chicago area to photograph our small wedding ceremony. We only needed the photographer for about 3 hours so we got snotty rejection after snotty rejection. No one was interested unless we booked a minimum of 10 hours. When I contacted Studio 1125 I was expecting the same thing, because of their popularity and reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Sean returned my call the same day and he was so friendly and down-to-earth. He commented that it would be the smallest wedding he would be photographing up to that point in his career and that he thought it would be a nice experience for him. He was very sensitive to our financial limitations and flexible with contract terms. Sean made our wedding ceremony complete! He was so friendly to everyone and our family members just adored him. In addition we got beautiful, non-traditional, wedding photographs. His turnaround time was quick and the photos are so beautiful that we don't know how to choose. We know for sure we'll be contacting Studio 1125 again - like when we have our first baby!! :-)“

“Nicole Sims is hands down, the most incredible photographer I’ve ever worked with!! I met her ten years ago when I did my very first photo shoot with her, and I remember back then I was so blown away. We took some photos for my fitness business and I’ll never forget how she plunged into the water to capture the most breathtaking shots when we filmed at the beach. On the day of our wedding, Nicole far exceeded my expectations, and with her I expect nothing but greatness. She is so passionate about her craft and so utterly committed to her clients, that at times she left me speechless. The second Nicole arrived (5.5 months pregnant), and gave me a hug, it was like seeing my family. She has the ability to make you feel not only comfortable in your own skin, but so completely cared for and loved. She goes above and beyond to let you know that she’s got your back in so many ways. For me, photography and videography were the most important components of my wedding, because while the day flies by, the photos are timeless and will be what we will look back at for years to come. Nicole worked with the videographers to share some creative ideas and together they captured some incredible footage.From the moment Nicole got there, she reviewed my list of all the important shots that I wanted, she created them beautifully, and there was not a detail unattended. She also made sure that we stayed on schedule so that we could capture all the shots that we wanted. When it came time for our sunset shots, her creativity once again mesmerized me!! She has such an incredible eye. She pays attention to every detail in your photos and will stop to adjust things or let you know to change position or anything necessary to capture the best possible photo. She also has an ability to make you laugh, and enjoy yourself and just be in the moment. She takes away the awkwardness of professional photography. At the end of the night I knew she must’ve been tired, being 5.5 months pregnant, but she was up on her feet ready to capture our grand finale after already working an EIGHT hour work day!! We had asked her to stay till the end of the reception, making it a ten hour work day and she didn’t even hesitate, even though I’m sure that was a lot to ask her. She was right there, capturing the most breathtaking photography of our sparkler send-off, and sky lantern lighting. She captured the footage of the lantern soaring way up into the heavens until it was a tiny speck. She was there afterwards with celebratory hugs and congratulations.And then, as if that wasn’t enough, Nicole stayed an extra night so that she could film our Trash the Dress session the next day on the beach. This meant so much to me!! I had dreamt of doing this photography session with her for nine years, and now it was finally coming true. There were so many people on the beach, watching our session, but I didn’t care because once again, Nicole found a way to make it intimate, and to make it feel like it was just the two of us out there. She has a way of doing that, and it’s such an incredible gift! We took the couples shots and she had us laughing and dancing in the water (and me squealing a little as my dress got wet). Then she finished with shots of just me in the water in my dress, and I was reminded of where it all started with Nicole, back on a beach in Laguna. Once again (only this time she was 5.5 months pregnant), Nicole plunged into the water with me and her camera to try to capture the most stunning shots!!Nicole Sims will surpass your greatest expectations on your wedding day, and I highly recommend her for any special event. I have to say, she was more than patient and accommodated to my different outfit changes for my daughter.
