Based on findings at an emergency vet, it was recommended that I follow up with a specialist to perform and interpret an abdominal ultrasound. I remember seeing a post on Facebook about a facility that only does imaging, so I saved the information for future reference, and I'm so glad that I did. I called and was given a same day appointment, which is amazing! As a board certified internist, I felt that Dr. Norman's expertise was perfect for my pup's situation, and I was right. I can't express how grateful I am for Dr. Diaz and the staff at Dogs and Cats in Calabasas. For 10 years, Louie, my 13-year-old dog, suffered from a persistent cough that his previous vet dismissed without proper examination. The vet simply chalked it up to genetics and refused to do any testing, leaving me frustrated and Louie increasingly unwell. When I finally sought a second opinion, Dr. Diaz immediately took action. She ordered an X-ray and discovered Louie's enlarged heart--something the previous vet never even considered. Thanks to Dr. Diaz, Louie is now on medication, and the change is remarkable. Dr.Diaz is understanding, patient and compassionate. I'm forever thankful for her care with our dogs. She really put me at ease today. Also very thankful the office was able to fit us in when they were booked solid. Highly recommended the Dog &Cat Hospital
