This review is about the Intetnal Medicine Primary Doctors that I've seen here. I've seen 3 since coming here in 2018 and currently with Dr Loc Duong. He listens and shows genuine concern for patients. I can't tell you how many times he's gotten back to me when I have health issues. Staff has always been welcoming. Parking is the only gripe as it's across St Joseph and other medical buildings. Other than that, I can happily trust my PCP.
Unfortunately the parking lot which includes the patient drop off area has reached maximum capacity so the parking entrance gets blocked with lot full signs. The next closest parking is two blocks away. So medical transport and Uber double park in side streets to load unload patients. So when the lot is full, the side streets are congested as well. I have been coming to this center for years and never saw this happen before. I arrived early and spent the next 15 minutes circling the building until I finally resolve to drive in the lot around the lot full blockades . So I call was on hold for over 15 min and explained what was going on that I was downstairs making my way up to their suite. I was hospitalized for over a month with a spine injury and need knee surgery so I am moving and walking slowly. I arrive at office surprised to see a row of clerks and none on the phone because they have no direct line. All calls go the call center. They had no idea of the parking issues. The doctor said since I was late I had to reschedule. Apparently the grace period is only given once and I used it a few days ago when my body was in so much pain I was late and rescheduled . I was hospitalized for over a month and have been homebound for 3 months trying to heal recover and get ambulatory enough to see specialist to have surgery. Dr Lei was to be my primary doctor. He did 2 tele meds visits and insisted I come in. I really tried but since the patient drop off gets closed when the lot is full, it's impossible for a compromised person like myself to park or get dropped off. The only other choice is to double park. The office was nice, waiting room empty. I need a doctor who understands I am in pain, crippled, can't walk much and need to be able to communicate with the staff directly. This office is great for ambulatory healthy patients who have no issues walking a block or two.
Calm, Cool and Intelligent, Doctor Augustine Chung explains everything about Pulmonology or Pulmonary Embolisms with explanations that an average person can understand. Also with a great bedside manner and with Goofy humor. When I was first diagnosed with a P.E almost every Dentist, Urologist, or regular Doctor told me they were very sorry for me and were very Concerned. Doctor Chung told me we caught it early, and had a plan to control it. He made me feel very OPTIMISTIC and his plan has helped me get better. Can a doctor be BOTH nice and super good at his work. Yes Doctor Chung is. My only concern in leaving this 5 STAR stellar review of Dr. Chung is it might make it that much harder to get in to see him.
