Dave Donatelli is a joke. My HOA had him come out to do WATER DAMAGE work with another company he apparently owns, Donatelli's Service. They don't have a Yelp but I sure took a pic of his pest company truck he arrived in, which lead me here. This review is strictly for the unreal behavior of Dave Donatelli. I have a huge leak in my unit and his guy comes out Sun morning to set up fans. Dave calls to tell me he'll be there Tues morning to assess what's going on. He also brags about his "amazing" website which is as much of a joke as he is and is some stock website builder from the early 2000s. This should have been my first clue something is off with this guy. Anyways, I say I need to be out of my place by 10am as I have an appointment and he tells me he has a staff meeting in the morning but will come before his staff meeting. Tues morning rolls around and I'm there at 8am. 9am rolls around and he's still not here. I call to find out his eta and am told it'll be an hour...at 10am. Great, I have to cancel my other appointment. Dave himself gets on the phone and once I start to ask some basic questions about the work he's going to do, he gets defensive and tells me I can use another company if I don't like what he's telling me. I say that's not the case, as I wanted to make sure the second floor leak that started from the third floor unit was addressed and not left to get moldy. He condescendingly starts to mansplain that they work with Titan Environmental and that they (Titan) would be out the next day to take tests. I specifically remember this, as I'm wanting to move my belongings out before they do this. Dave arrives at 9:50am, and I ask how long his process is going to take, he tells me he can't say until he sees it, which is fair enough. He starts mansplaining the process again and tells me Titan Environmental will be out at a later date to take tests. I questioned, saying that he told me they'd be out tomorrow and he starts to backtrack, saying that he never told me that. As noted, I specifically remember him saying they'd be out the next day, as I wanted to get my belongings out of the house. Dave gets super defensive and then tells his guys to grab the fans and that he's not doing this job. I press him further, asking how he couldn't remember what he told me less than an hour ago and at this point I'm irritated and ask him what happened to our earlier appointment time. He claims he doesn't know what I'm talking about. I reminded him that he told me he had a staff meeting in the morning and that he would "figure it out" and come over before the meeting. That never happened. Again, he denies ever having that conversation with me. At this point I realize the type of gaslighting-person he is, one who has no problem lying to your face. He even tells me HE is a good person (I never brought his character up so not sure why he did), he said I have no idea what kind of work he does, asked if I knew who he was (seriously?!?) and then he told me that I am unable to communicate with him. He told his guys that I was assaulting him. By asking questions?!? Way to project yourself onto others, Dave. He walks off, saying I cost him $1,000. I tell him he can probably get some job exterminating pests elsewhere. Dave seems to be your typical egotistical guy who talks himself up in the mirror, and then repeats those things to his clients, hoping they'll believe him. I've dealt with people like home before and all it takes is for him to feel slighted before he starts going off on you. For everyone who claims he's a nice guy, those people probably didn't question him or his work to receive the treatment myself and a few other received. Literally the worst customer service I've ever received from a company.

Reliable and fast. These folks are personable and honest and their rates are always way below other contractors. Can’t say enough great things about their crews that I’ve worked with.

I would not recommend this company based on the customer service that I have received from them (please note I did not receive any work from them so I cannot attest to the quality of what they do). My real estate company contacted them for an estimate during the process of us closing escrow in which they provided a thorough estimate with very fair pricing. Now that our escrow officially closed I contacted them 3 times in order to try to schedule the job for a future date. The first two times I called I was told I would be contacted back with no avail. The 3rd time I called (which was my last an final attempt) I was rudely informed that they had bigger jobs (HOAs) that they were behind on and could not fit mine in. I am in no hurry and could wait for the job to be done at anytime in the next few months but was denied that as well. I was told they would give me some referrals but was told I would have to wait to get those from them as well (I wouldn't hold my breath on that so I told them not to bother). When I let them know I would be informing my real estate agent not to use them in the future he said he was fine with that. And when i said he shouldn't be giving bids if he wasn't able to fulfill the work he said he would take that into consideration (and hopefully they do). If it was my company and I did not have time to do the work I quoted someone I would let them know right away, be apologetic for any miscommunication or inconvenience it caused and would immediately provide them quality referrals who I know could service them. Not just let the customer go upset and frustrated. Apparently they have enough business to keep them going and quality treatment of potential customers is not a priority.
