My TWH filly had a unique issue with her hock - a subchondral bone deformity. My vet recommended that we take her to Alamo to have Dr. Judy take a look to see what the exact prognosis would be. My filly unfortunately needed surgery in order to fix the problem. However, although the surgery was deemed to be very difficult and there was a large possibility that "fixing" the bone deformity may not be possible due to the location, but Dr. Judy was up for the challenge and confident that the reward outweighed the risks. Alamo pinto is by far the best Vet Hospital I have ever gone to personally! The staff greets you with such friendly and professional service to the entire atmosphere being like a dream Barn. Then you and your Equine family are cared for by the Top vets in the world! My 3 horses are in the best possible care with Dr. Tyler Stevenson I’m so grateful for him and all the vet techs . First off my horse had some new bumps all over his neck, I called in and talked to Dr. Kerr, they were super busy with a emergency so she gave me her phone number and told me to send her photos of it and she would get back to be with what she recommended soon as she could, I sent the photos and she immediately responded and explained they could be hives from flys and that to keep them clean and monitor them and if not gone in a day or so to come in, I came in on Saturday and Dr. Herthel came out and gave him a steroid shot and sent home some anti inflammatory powder for him wnd he's back to normal now.
