I love the ambience here and it doesn't hurt that I can grab a taco next door, before or after my appointment, at TJ Oyster bar! I always feel like I'm going to my girlfriends house when I'm on my way to an appt at il Trucco because everyone here is SO damn friendly and I get to relax and get my hair did with Tamara! She was a recommendation from a guy friend several years ago, and now we all go, friends, family, co-workers. If one of us goes the rest always follow, cuz, touch ups duh! The thing about Tamara (and we can all attest) she's not a rookie! Her specialty is color and she's all about respecting the integrity of your hair, she'll let you know right away how she can best accomplish your style/color of preference without compromising the structure of your current hair. I have thin wiry hair thanks to genetics but damn if I don't always leave looking good, with shiny a** healthy hair! Tamara tells it like it is and has once straight told me that she couldn't do a specific request because it would damage my hair more than it already was (Genetics!). Plus she gives great tips on affordable hair products and even offers to get them for you at a discount, she's super friendly and is always coming through with the advice and recommendations. I once didn't have enough time to book in advance of a Vegas trip and she told me what colors to get for a touch up! Who does that? I've strayed and been to other salons but I'm never as satisfied as I am when I leave after an appointment with her. I know that I'm getting quality service. For some reason all I could find were pics of me in red but she's also done beautiful blonde through balayage, she's given me Brazilian blow outs, etc... I was surprised to read a negative comment because Tamara has always been very professional. After reading through that specific comment and how she handled it... bravo girl! At 30 weeks pregnant and expecting special treatment, AND she didn't pay in full! What a skeezey Karen! At most salons that you go to, the stylist might be handling multiple clients, I've never left disgruntled because of long wait with Tamara and trust me I've been there, done that, nothing I hate worse than waiting on stylist whose over-committed. That's not Tamara! She's the best, everyone I recommend, friends, family and colleagues have become loyal clients. We love her and so will you!

I came to il Trucco Salon after reading previous reviews & I honestly am so glad I came here to get my hair done. It was my first time bleaching my hair and I was super nervous. Javier did my hair and was super confident in his work. I'm really glad he was the one to do my hair because it came out looking amazing !
