Well was stranded last night in bishop. Ac compressor clutch took a dump on me and was grinding metal down. Stuck 260 miles from home I called A&L the next morning after 2 other shops told me they were 2 weeks out and couldn't help. The nice lady who answered told me to come in maybe they could look at it. The owner had 1 of his mech take a look. Fortunately the ac compressor has its own belt and he told me I could cut belt to compressor and the car would run fine. He went back into shop and got cutters and removed it. Had me start car to make sure that was the only thing and it ran well. He got me on my way home. A tow home would have cost me over $1500. I can't say enough positive things about the people at A&L. I've never heard of a business going so far beyond what is asked or expected. In our case that even included picking someone up and driving them to the airport! There was no business need to do that, they just wanted to help a person in need. I would highly recommend A&L to anyone in the Bishop area.

Needed an oil change last minute. I called at 4:10 asking if they could do an oil change for me, but it’d take me 20 minutes to get there and they close at 5. Very friendly and accommodating, they didn’t have the filter for my car but they managed to get it from elsewhere immediately. Great service! Even gave my dog some treats.
