I get the best care here from my Dr., to the nurses and the advocates. Raqual Santiago is absolutely integral to getting referrals, movement, and all around advocating when i can't. Madeleine is an angel from heaven when it comes to getting what the patient needs. If its possible she'll find a way to make it happen. These people go over and beyond. In contrast, the front desk needs Jesus (rude, inattentive, stressful, disrespectful, asking questions that have nothing to do with their job), but I've been told that will be dealt with soon. This is the VIP of Healthcare.

So this review is specific to Raquel Santiago, SUDCC who is a substance use Disorder counselor and casemanager. Ms. Santiago really cares about her patients, she works with a wide variety of us with mental health and medical conditions and always treats us with kindness and respect. She has helped so many of us get our lives back we are forever grateful to her. She used to be at Ashby then they closed Ashby site and she went over there on a grant program. I have now been clean for almost 2 years thanks to her and even though she is harm reduction for some of us harm reduction is abstinance but i also have schizophrenia and she was able to help guide me in the right direction. I had to do the work she just guided me. I dont know of any other person at that facility i could call and she could get me an appointment with me provider, and see me and help me get labs done and help me fix insurance and deal with my substance use and schizophrenia. I mean she is like a miracle worker and i to this day dont know how she still does it. They need 10 of her at a clinic.

Met with Dr. White again, she was again very helpful and did everything in a comfortable and professional way, answering my questions and not being pushy at all. Once I was in the exam room, I did have to wait about 45 mins which was not great, but I know she's busy and they're probably understaffed and I didn't mind considering I was happy after the appt. They were also out of a Hep B vaccine I need, but should have it in a week or so again, so I'm not too worried.
