Shia is amazing. I've been coming here years! For cutting my hair, shampooing, straightening my hair and I've brought my sister and mom here. 100% excellent quality service. She is also so friendly and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend! If you want silky, shiny healthy hair this is the spot! I've also tried other hair salons in Berkeley and it does not compare, seriously. I have curly dry hair and every time I leave Shia's hair salon I walk out with beautiful hair

I had a great experience at this salon. As a first-timer with this place and not super knowledgeable about getting highlights or hair in general, I was so thrilled when I got exactly what I was picturing.I called the day before and got an appointment easily. The whole process took about 3 hours, broken down as follows:~1 hour: bleaching~1 hour: toning. Without this step, my hair was all shades of yellow.~1 hour: rinsing, shampooing, sitting under the dryer, blow out, flat ironService: throughout the process, the hairdresser made sure to ask me if I’m doing okay constantly. Wax is great, she always makes sure I am comfortable and okay. She is always respectful, sweet, addresses my concerns, and never makes me feel rushed. She is beyond down to earth and her prices are so affordable for amazing work. Took about ten minutes for my Brazilian this morning, and she didn't miss a hair! I wasn't in pain the entire time and I am a huge baby when it comes to waxing a lot of the time. No pain, great prices, amazing woman.
