Dr. Chun always does a very careful examination and listens to my descriptions of what I am seeing. He looks inside my eyeballs and explains clearly. I am very satisfied with his prescriptions.
WHAT IS THE REASON? WHAT,WHAT? Why is it that many, many people have a GREAT experience at different places like this clinic or a car repair, or a restaurant or a bike repair shop and then someone comes along and writes they had the worse experience of their lives? Is it the arrangement of the moon? Did someone come in and shoot the place up the day before? Is it just a bad Monday. I just do not know. But I would love to be the mouse in the corner when a bad experience at this clinic happens. That is because I have always had the best of experiences here and been going for years. I see Dr. Chun who also teaches at the UC Berkeley School Of Vision. He will explain in length anything you want to know about your eyes. He is always up beat. I just cannot say enough good things. I have learned so much about the health of my eyes. Chris Doyle .
Like another reviewer, I've been seeing Dr. Chun since I was a student, 20+ years ago. I've been very pleased with Dr. Chun's care. He knows his stuff, and is more than willing to take the time to answer however many questions I have. And, when I have a question that doesn't merit an office visit, he calls me back promptly and gives me sensible answers. The only complaints I have are that the front-office staff seems a bit disorganized (inexperienced?) at times, and I've had a couple of problems with defective eyeglasses ordered through Dr. Chun's office. What prompted me to submit a review was my experience today. Yesterday, my daughter got hit in the face with a soccer ball, and was complaining of blurred vision and pain in her eye. Today (Sunday) I called Dr. Chun. He called back minutes later and asked me some questions about my daughter's condition. He then told me that from what he could tell over the phone, her condition did not seem to merit emergency care, and I could bring her into the office on Monday to be examined. Or, if I preferred, he'd meet me in the office this afternoon to examine her. I was amazed and gratified that he was so willing to come into the office on a Sunday for a non-emergency. We went in, he did a thorough exam, and answered my questions--as usual. For this I'm giving him 5 stars, even though -- as noted above -- the rest of the office operation isn't flawless.
