We decided to be the general contractor on our job and we needed our guys to stay on budget and on schedule. Peter was able to work around our construction schedule, which meant starting and stopping the project several times. We stopped the construction for 20 days after the foundation was poured. Not exactly in the schedule, but we wanted to get a hard cure on the concrete floors so they could be stained and treated. We didn't anticipate how that job would affect the other. Peter was able to work around our schedule and kept the budget together. The house was stripped, then raised. The foundation, framing, and lowering went off without a hitch. Setting a house down is tricky because the walls can buckle and overlap the framing in a bad way. Peter wisely reinforced the upper, original, building and the house settled perfectly onto the new framing. Peter knows his business. He was able to suggest framing improvements to the architect's plan where our master bath and deck are built over our kitchen. We loaded the deck and large master shower with rock, so we're confident we have it well supported. We needed a structural detail for the connection from the new shear walls to the original roof. Peter sketched details of a fix and my architect drew them up. The fix was approved and we were sailed through the framing inspection. Peter's powered by a strong cup of Peet's and he'll likely figure out where you stash your chocolate. Peter's always wearing a smile. You couldn't ask for a better guy to trust your project to.

We are just making it through the tail-end of a major home reconstruction. We hired Peter to add a second story onto our house. Peter & his crew were not only kind and helpful, they also got the job done well and pretty much on schedule & on budget. His crew was kind and even fed us some great homemade Mexican food at times! Peter had a good relationship established with our inspectors, as well as his crew, and these things can make a big difference. On top of this, Peter was a pleasure to work with, level-headed and kind. He helped us keep our heads while we realized how much we had truly bitten off... If you need a framer- he is your man!
