Antoinette did an amazing job on my hair. I have short hair and it's hard to get right, it's super fine so you can see every detail, and I came in unsure but also with super tricky photos to work with. She brought so much warmth to the whole process and didn't judge me for dyeing my own hair and cutting my own bangs. And she nailed the cut, I love it so much. thank you Antoinette!
Cannot say enough good things about Toni (Antoinette): not just her incredible work but her beautiful, generous spirit. My daughter needed a last minute haircut (on a Sunday, no less!) and Toni fit her in, not realizing this was nearly a complete overhaul of my 16-year-old's curly hair. She handled our "bait and switch" (my bad! I didn't know how complex what we were asking for was...) with total grace. Toni not only gave her THE best haircut she's ever gotten (she's thrilled with the results, can't stop looking in the mirror), she provided a huge education on how to care for the curls and her expertise and good judgment resulted in the perfect length and style, not what my daughter *thought* she wanted by way of the photos she brought, which would have been a disaster and major regret. This takes superior listening, professionalism and people skills! It's rare that one encounters someone who is not only extremely experienced and capable, but also so very kind. We're so grateful to have met this amazing lady. We'll definitely be back!
This salon is filled with great people. Every time I come in, they say hello and are always happy and talking with each other. It has a humble and down-to-earth vibe that is unique for the Bay Area. Regarding stylists, Pamela Squires has been cutting my hair for over a decade now and she's pretty much family at this point. She is an incredibly caring person, always asking me about whats going on in my life with work and family. Her compassion carries over in her work as she always makes sure that I leave loving my new haircut. If there is something I don't like, I am never afraid to ask her to touch it up and if I do, she's always very understanding. Pam makes the time to ensure that the customer is satisfied and she has always been very thorough, having done an excellent job with my haircuts every time. Finally, having seen the full spectrum of her recurring customers (children, men, and women), Pam is one of the few hairstylists that can cut hair for all ages and genders.
