We had a large yellow jacket hive in our garden in Fairveiw district in Oakland. We tried to treat ourselves twice over a week (via DIY suggestions from the web) but with no success. We called Gring Pest Control based on previous experience we had with them. They were able to fit us in the next day. Francisco Luna did a great job - treated the hive and then suggested he return the following week to ensure the yellowjackets were gone. The second treatment was at no additional charge! We waited a couple days at Francisco's suggestion, then came back and dug out the old stump the hive was in and filled in with dirt. So, I haven't actually used their services, but I did have some bites at night, and found some bugs living in my dresser. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful, I dropped off samples of the bugs, in which they sent to the agriculture department at cal berkeley to have them identified. This was of no charge, still waiting to hear back, hoping the bugs aren't anything gnarly!
