I get the location; and rich people in the area... but I'm sorry; $35 to hem trousers is a bit too steep. She is spoiled and arrogant about her clientele. Drive a little farther and save 35% off her prices..

She charges a decent price for the work she guarantees. She is a joy to work with and does great work. A prior reviewer mentioned a large retailer would have charged less. This might be the case but it was speculation and alterations are a loss leader for them. I suggest giving her a second chance before leaving a long mean review for a small independent business.

I went to this place based on great reviews on Yelp. First, this place is super expensive, 2x-3x more expensive than Nordstrom. That is not a problem in itself if customers are willing to pay an arm and a leg for alterations, but the work should be impeccable for this price. I took a pair of silk pants to have them shortened before my vacation. The result was unevenly altered pants: the right side on one leg was visibly longer than the left side and kind of wavy too. Then the front of the other leg was visibly shorter than the back. The stitch was too thick in some places thus making the light fabric pull instead of falling nicely. I was charged $65 for this botched job. When I took them back to Jenny to ask for an explanation, she told me that the fabric is hard to work with and offered to redo the job. No thank you! If you were capable of doing the job well and right, you would have done it the first time. I took them to alterations at Nordstrom's to have the job redone and they charged me $25! The alteration people at Nordstrom agreed that the job Jenny did was poor. The moral of this story is that I am never going back to Twin alterations and I would caution you from taking nice pieces of clothing there as well. She might be good with basic stuff like jeans but I wouldn't trust her with more delicate fabrics.
