This is a family-owned hair salon. The family is so kind and genuinely friendly, and they made my son feel comfortable from the start. Making an appointment was a breeze, and the haircut was done efficiently and without any fuss. The prices are also very reasonable. We had a positive experience and will absolutely come back. Note it is cash only.
This place is a family owned business with mom and daughter as the barbers. They take both appointments and walk-ins. The haircut was really quick, but maybe too quick, as my husband wished his fade was more prominent (the transition between hair lengths could have been better). Overall, if you're looking for a quick, easy, and affordable barber, then this is your place. $21 (cash only) for a men's haircut as of January 2025.
I've driven by this barber so many times in the last 20+ years of living in Belmont, and now that I have younger kids, we decided to check it out after someone else we knew mentioned them. What a great experience! My son liked going to a place in Foster City that closed up, and we were worried that we couldn't find one that my son would go to. He wasn't a fan of the buzzing by his ear in general. From the very first time he went to Belmont Hair Studio, he was excited to go. Both stylists (a mother-daughter combo) are super nice and very sweet to him. He has always felt comfortable and even lets them buzz the clippers by his ear. He also asks when we are going back to them. I would have never guessed that my son would come to an adult barber so soon, but they made it an effortless transition! They are very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. We made a call and they let us know which time slots would have less traffic and to come in then. They jotted our name down and we came at the appropriate time. I have also seen walk-ins come in without a problem. They serve adults and children alike. My experience with Belmont Hair Studio was from my son's visits as I cut my own hair. They are fair with their prices and will get you in and out of there in a jiffy! Thank you Belmont Hair Studio for being so wonderful! Grade: A+
