My whole family has been going to Bay Area Martial Arts Academy for several years now and I have to say they are wonderful. So this review is definitely long overdue. Both my daughters have gained so much strength and discipline from the instructor (Mr Agoff). I love the life lessons he instills in them as well. The kids learn self defense, how to fall properly, stick work, different fighting forms, and the importance of training and hard work. They also work on strength and stamina and the belts are earned and not just given. Definitely lucky that we have this local gem so close to home. Also nice that my husband goes there too so the three of them can train together.
Star Elevator has been servicing my office building for over five years. Their customer service has always been outstanding. They answer or return my calls promptly, provide honest and accurate information and offer solutions whenever issues arise. Their technicians are knowledgeable and they offer competitive pricing. What I really appreciate about Star is when you work with them they treat you as their most important customer they have, now matter how big a contract you may have. My daughter has been doing jazz since she was 3 years old here and she loves it. All the teachers make the class fun and she met a lot of nice kids. She did the performance in June when she was 4 and it was so good. I highly recommend this dance place!
Stopped in here on a whim. Ok, a Google search results whim, and boy howdy, was I not sad to do that.Anyone who wears glasses understands the constant need for cleaning, and I was well overdue. I thought I had brought cleaning cloths with me, but alas, in my packing haste, I left them behind.With my vision impaired by what I could only imagine was the grease from seventeen deep fat fat fryers, I decided enough was enough.The staff here are fantastic. I got my wipes, some cleaner for less than the price of a Starbucks coffee, which, on the face of it, probably doesn't sound cheap at all, but I'm talking a tall, not a grande or a venti. Capiche?They even cleaned them for me! Which, although embarrassing, saved me from the shame of knowing just how many layers of filth were on them.Not to be outdone, they even provided me with some solid restaurant recommendations, seeing as I was new to the area.Kinda hoping my glasses don't break, but if they do, I'll head back here in a hot second.TLDR; Awesome staff. Cleaned my glasses for me. Great value. Bonus food recommendations. 10/10. Love at first visit.
I was a bit intimidated with weightlifting when I started at Gym Class Rocks years ago, but it was the perfect place to get started. Not only was the owner of the gym, Shannon, very accommodating in teaching me the exercises and helping me adjust the workout to my specific needs, but the entire community of women was as well. Once I started getting stronger and was ready to increase my weights, I could look to this wonderful community of strong women for inspiration and advice on form, weights, and life. And, perhaps most important for me, whenever I skip several weeks due to life getting in the way, I am always welcomed back by Shannon and the community as if I hadn’t been gone at all.
Allan's team did a fantastic job installing their lightweight Slate 2 system. After 2 years it still looks great, and I expect it to last another 50. They really showed high level craftsmanship in all their custom fitted copper installations, including large rounded roof and dormer sections, oversized flashings, along with gutters and downspouts of course. They were open to specific design discussion and requests, and they always delivered on their promises - including finishing at the cost and timing they estimated.

I’ve been to quite a few PT’s and i’d put Tanya and her group at the top for the area. The expertise level, the chill vibe while “getting the work done”… the list of positives goes on. The only downside is getting your perfect appointment time or day… they can get booked up. Pro tip they have a cancellation list that moves pretty quickly so there’s a good chance of seeing your PT from that if you have scheduling issues. I had an the most wonderful experience with Kate last Saturday! Her professionalism and kindness were certainly evident as soon as I walked in the salon. I had come in with some hair issues like breakage and brassy tones as well as needing a refresh on my face framing layers. She not only evened out my layers perfectly, but also took the time to discuss my hair concerns and recommend several products that would help improve the condition of my hair. First time I went it was the best haircut I had in a long time. Period. I showed her an old pic of me and asked her l'd like the same haircut. Shy was meticulous but quick, and delivered one of the best haircuts I had in a long time. Now, I’m a regular. She keeps detailed notes so I don’t even have to show her my photo anymore. I've been going to Chuck for haircuts for over a year now and it's always a great experience. Chuck has good availability, he always does a good job, and he's a super nice guy who is fun to talk to. Overall, I would definitely recommend booking an appointment with Chuck at the Bushwhacker Shack!

This is the best Russian pedicure nail salon in the San Francisco bay area. The attention to detail is unmatched compared to other places. They also seem to use high-quality and clean tools. It is by appointment only so no walk ins but it's worth the wait. For a Russian-style manicure/pedicure this is top notch
Cleanliness: Super clean
So we have had pedicures by the two men and they were very rough and caused us pain. This time we called ahead. Stated explicitly three or more times during the phone call that we would like the women to do our pedicures and explained why. Then I asked what time the two women had appts available. They told us 3pm. We arrived 2:45. All chairs were full. Which is fine. 3:15 we were invited to sit and soak. The water burned both our feet and they seemed shocked. Then they had a man (the rougher of the two) sit down to do my. Mom's pedicure. I immediately stopped him from starting. The lady tried to tell me I did not ask for the women when I called. This is absolutely untrue. She tried to tell this again and she said there were no notes to that affect on the calendar. I told her she didn't remember to write it down. Wondering if it is time to look elsewhere. Or only book online where apparently we can choose the person. Edit to four stars from one star We finally got the two ladies and a very nice pedicure.
Alyssa colored and cut my hair after way to many months of me not doing anything with it and her service was great! I liked that the check in before the actual appt were via text and easy to respond and keep in communication with. Alyssa did a great job on my color and cut- left feeling refreshed with healthy hair! I've been using the shampoo and heat protectant she recommends that you can buy from the salon and absolutely love it. Erica (and all the Slate ladies) are always so lovely when I pop on to get products or ask questions. The space is light and fresh making the visit that much more enjoyable. Thanks ladies!

I got my hair cut here and I absolutely loved it! Dee was my stylist and she made sure we were on the same page about length and my layers. She blended my layers (that I was previously unhappy with) out beautifully. I love my face framing pieces as well! After my cut, she styled my hair with the blow dryer and I don't think my hair has ever looked better. Super cute salon with great music and warm, friendly staff. Dee seemed very well experienced and I trusted her every step of the way. One of the best salon experiences I've had in a while.

I have been coming to Eros for about 10 months now! I love the work Hana does! She always gets my shape the exact way I like it on my nails. The pedicures are great there as well! They have a few options to choose from and the girls are always so sweet and do a great job! It is beautiful and clean inside as well with easy parking in the back!

SHORT STORY:
Morningstar Tattoo far exceeded my expectations in every way; their facility is comfortable, clean, and professional. My Tattooist, Jordi Simmons, did an amazing job throughout the whole design and application process. You will not be disappointed with Morningstar!
MY AWESOME EXPERIENCE WITH MORNINGSTAE TATTOO PARLOR:
I never thought I would ever be a “Tattoo Guy.” However, after my daughter suddenly passed away at age 30 in 2022, I wanted to have something that keeps her spirit with me and will always be with me wherever I go and whatever I do. After about a year of introspection, I decided that a memorial tattoo for my daughter would be highly appropriate for me. After much research on local Tattoo shops, I decided to work with Morningstar Tattoo Parlor.
When I first visited Morningstar, I was amazed that this parlor was not like tattoo parlors as portrayed in the media. Morningstar occupies a spacious, clean, comfortable, and professional series of suites on the second and third floors of their building. They are by appointment only, original artwork only, and they have several policies that strike me as highly professional.
When I reached out to Morningstar, Jordi Simmons returned my call, and after a brief conversation, I felt comfortable proceeding with Jordi as my tattooist.
My whole experience with Jordi, given her professionalism, creativity, artistry, and skill was outstanding! Jordi and I initially met for about 2 hours, and she really took the time to understand why I wanted this tattoo, what my what my daughter was like in life (the good and the bad), my spiritual beliefs regarding life, sentience and death, and other topics personally relevant and meaningful to me. Jordi also clearly described what she could and could not do with tattoo designs, such as font sizes, resolution, and other things to consider with the design. I gave Jordi some initial concepts of what might work for a design concept as a starting point.
Over the next 4 months Jordi and I periodically corresponded via email about design concepts to be considered. When I arrived on the day we had scheduled for the tattoo to be applied, we hadn’t yet settled on a final design, and Jordi presented the latest design she developed for me.
I was absolutely blown away at the design she created!
The design is way beyond anything I had thought possible. The image Jordi created for me captures an amazing amount symbolism about what my daughter was like in life, my spiritual beliefs regarding life and death, and other aspects of my daughter’s short life. The images, and even the relative placement of numbers, text, and images carries deep symbolism and meaning for me. Jordi quickly incorporated some very small changes to the design based on my feedback, and then it was time to apply the tattoo.
The initial application was a 3-hour sitting at Jordi’s station, toward the end of which, my skin was getting irritated enough that Jordi advised that we should stop, because continuing the application that day could compromise the quality of the final tattoo. Because of this, we ended our session for the day and scheduled a second sitting 3 weeks later.
During the interim time between the first and second application, I researched Tattoo best practices for design and application. This helped me really understand in detail that Jordi had carefully planned of the tattoo’s overall size, orientation, and placement that otherwise I would not have noticed. Everything Jordi did was according to the best practices I researched; Jordi planned for a tattoo that will displays and ages well.
We finished the tattoo during our second sitting of about an hour and a half and I am beyond h
My friends and I had an appointment with James to get some tattoos. We showed up a few minutes before our appointment but he was ready for us. We filled out the forms and he had our sketches ready. Once we finalized the sizes he started on us right away. James was fast and efficient and we all loved our tattoos. Would definitely go to him again!
DeLuca Electric is awesome - we had a small job to replace/reposition a old "DIY" outlet that was poorly placed for a new dishwasher, and the final completed job was excellent. Dominic was a pleasure to work with, super communicative and easy to schedule. His worker, Gonzalo, arrived on time, and was courteous and professional (he wore shoe covers in the house, and he was extremely tidy). The job was completed fairly quickly and at a reasonable rate. I definitely recommend DeLuca Electric and would hire them again for my next job!

We very, very highly recommend Mark Lavine at UH Improvement. He is a professional who delivered for us top, top quality work and in an efficient manner. While we hope we won't have the need, if so at another property, we would hire Mark again in a second if ever we were faced with a flooding, drainage or related issue. We live on a slight hill and our garage flooded the past 4-5+ years. It was horrible. (See photos) It had been getting worse each year. At first we tried fixing on our own by making some drainage improvements. That did not work. The next year we hired a general contractor but, as we later realized, he did not have the expertise in this specific area. He did install some new drainage and waterproofing, etc., but his "solution" was really no solution at all. Sadly, the flooding in our garage persisted just as before. After that experience we realized that our drainage and flooding issue needed a true pro with this specific experience and expertise. Therefore, the following year we interviewed several contractors who "said" they were experts at drainage and flooding issues. Mark stood-out amongst the group when we met him. His many years of experience, and specifically working on properties with drainage and flooding issues, allowed him to have a more clear vision than any other contractor for a solution to our problem. We scheduled the work for summer 2023. Mark and team were in/out in less than two weeks, just as he said, and his team was very professional, hard working, and courteous. While we never doubted Mark and his team, we felt it was more honest to wait and write this review after the 2023/2024 rainy season. It's now mid-March 2024 and we've had many, many big rainy days and nights that, in the past, would absolutely have flooded our garage and had my wife and would be down there sweeping out the water. This winter: WE HAVE NOT HAD ONE DROP OF WATER flood into our garage! The drainage has worked perfectly. The work Mark did has worked perfectly and we could not be happier. We are soooooo glad that we met and hired Mark and UH Improvements..... Thank you Mark and the team at UH Improvements ! We are forever grateful. -Steven & Kim

I have been coming to this location since 2003. A few years ago the regular Dr. Dave decided to retire. He knew his patients count on Chiropractic Care so he searched for a replacement. Well he found one and he sure is exceptional. His name is Dr. Nicholas Saviano. Not only does he crack me up()he also offers Stem Wave, which helped for the pain that I had in my foot. I also am pleased that the staff is still the same, other than the new Doc.

Exceptional Chiropractic Care!I can't speak highly enough of this chiropractor. In just a few sessions, he's made a world of difference for me. I was struggling with severe lower back and hip pain, and despite trying physical therapy, yoga, and massage, nothing seemed to help. After only four visits with Mark, I'm experiencing a significant reduction in pain. I've decided to continue working with him for ongoing maintenance and to address other issues like my neck, shoulders, upper back, elbows, and thumb joint. It feels like I'm regaining my vitality. The other day I had an issue with a massage that was due to a miscommunication error. These things happen but I called for a refund or credit to come back later to another masseuse. The owner, Jennifer got back to me immediately and rescheduled me for the next day. The masseuse they assigned to me, Wendy did an AMAZING job. Amazing. I had gotten injured and lost mobility from my mid-right side back to my right side hamstring. Wendy was attentive to the problem areas and checked in on me to make sure that the pressure wasn't too light or heavy and didn't waste any time. The receptionist even apologized for the prior massage that really wasn't even a big deal but the effort that My Favorite Feet made to make me happy really shows that they care about their clients and how they feel when they leave. Jennifer is a pro and this place is clearly under great management. I have no problem recommending My Favorite Feet for massage treatments and will certainly be coming back soon! Stumbled on this place today when my normal place was busy and I loved it. I did the $50 foot massage for 60 minutes it was about 10- 15 minutes for my head and arms and 30 min for my feet which was so good I dozed off 2 times. And then at the very end he did about 5 -10 minutes of my back ! Small place but very clean and I was so happy with the massage

Best of the best - I was seen by a number of top medical professionals in the bay area for a serious injury. The issues I had been struggling with that my doctors at Stanford could not provide solutions to, Vincent resolved with just 1-2 visits, without a surgery or prescription or another medical exam. That gave me hope during a challenging time of my life. He is the best TCM doctor - I've tried several other top rated ones in different locations but no one came close to him. Hope he lives long and doesn't retire.
