“I live in North Glendale and I drive to Long Beach for Dr An and Dr Fries. I met Dr An when he was a young vet, practicing in Dr Fries' practice. He treated my Rottweiler, Duke, for an autoimmune disease even though two other vets told me to put him down. He gave me six more very good years with my beloved. When Duke developed a reaction to Prednisone, Dr An found an alternative drug that he could tolerate. He treated the symptoms of Cushings because of drug interactions. Duke died a natural death at 14 - a very long life for a very big dog. Dr An also treated Ellie, my Shiba Inu, who developed Dementia in the last year of her life. We made a pact that he would do everything he could to give her quality of life. When it was time, he reminded me of our pact. His love and compassion gave me comfort that we had done our best for Ellie. Dr Fries is an equally supporting doctor. When Duke developed a bleed in his paw because of the Prednisone, Dr Fries took him in immediately on a busy Saturday morning and stopped the bleeding. He treated Duke's paw cancer and was so kind that, even though we had to do surgery to remove a digit, Duke did not fight when we had to go back for post-operative care. These two doctors represent how medicine - animal and human - should be practiced. In this day of swinging door doctors and large impersonal practices when one is treated by a different doctor at every visit, they are a reminder of the good old days.“

“I LOVE PCAH Bixby Knolls. Even though PCAH is budget-friendly, the care I receive from the receptionists, veterinary technicians, and doctors are out of this world. When my friends bring a new family member home, I tell them to go straight to PCAH Bixby Knolls because they have the best care in the area. What I love about this place is the no hidden costs! The doctor makes an estimate for you to let you know what the cost of each procedure is going to be. If certain procedures aren't in your current budget, you can talk to the doctor about next steps. It's great knowing how much everything is going to cost before you have to blindly swipe your credit card. Shout out to Dr. Dani Gonzalez for the awesome care for Bonbon! “These are very good people, young (compared to me), helpful, and helped me out of a real clutch when my dog/puppy got sick, and they took her in not only as a walk-in (I hadn't yet even gotten my dog an actual vet since I had just adopted her), but they were able to meet me that same morning, which is a combination of a walk-in and an appointment (there's a charge, but it's not much and it's expected), and they really love animals, there's a kind of family feeling there, a bunch of puppies were inside when I visited and you can tell they really know their customers as a kind of family, and they call the animals Fur Babies, which is really cute (there's a cat that basically helps work the front desk, very cute too)... in my case, the price was just what it should be for what's basically an emergency but, since an all-night Emergency ER referred them (to save money... my dog was in stable condition that night so they referred to this vet since it opens at 8am), it's of course much cheaper, as in, there's no getting around a situation when there is URGENCY with a sick dog, and many times there aren't too many choices but an overpriced EMERGENCY VET (like VCA, yikes)... but these people took care of that situation by being a lower-cost Urgent Care along with, of course, being an actual appointment-centered 8am to 7pm clinic... best of both worlds...“

“I took our Cat Foxy here because she got attacked by a raccoon or possum and had a bad wound on her leg which got infected. The staff and doctor were so attentive to Foxy. Unfortunately we had to put our Sweet Foxy to sleep. The staff and doctors were so sweet, respectful to Foxy as well as to our family. “I went for a not so happy reason. This facility was so sympathetic to our needs.. Our xena is now in doggy heaven.. She was with us for 9 years.. Everyday meeting me at the office.. stealing lunches from trucks and table tops... She was like your personal security walking with you everywhere.. so when it became clear that her quality of life was not what it use to be ... Parkview staff was very emphatic... This very important for anyone who has to go through a process of letting go of their fur baby.. This is not just a business transaction/ service. I appreciate them very much. I have been to other pet hospitals and the look at it as regular business day and business transaction.. I love this place and I highly recommend them“

“We have been going to the Gentle Care Pet Clinic in Long Beach, CA, for many years. We are always grateful for the wonderful help from both Dr. Kim and Dr. Bang. They go beyond the extra mile to ensure our cats are well taken care of. They are both very gentle and Dr. Kim cured our last two cats of all the physical problems that they were having. His knowledge and love of animals is just amazing. We are forever grateful for these two wonderful veterinarians. I came here to get a second opion on an ongoing digestive problem that my dog has had for 2 and half months . I saw Dr Beddington and she was beyond what I could have ever asked for . The time she spent , the ability to have patience and listen to me with compassion. Place is clean and my experience with Britney was right on point . Recommend highly . “I truly didn't have high expectations, and considered this vet something like a VCA chain. I took my puppy in due to an exam needed and an issue with her dewclaw. Her vet has been in LA since I got her but it's too much of a drive I've done for small things she's needed, so this place was a great distance from me and I kept getting emails to try them from Petco so we gave them a chance. Making an appointment was super easy, all done online. We may have gotten super lucky, because the vet technician and the vet himself were awesome like 5 stars just for their service alone; I've seen some bad reviews and personally I don't like this Petco location at all. The self serve treats are covered in spiderwebs and half the staff has an issue 24/7, to name a few issues. This led me to not expect much from this hospital attached to them. Experiencing the care that our sweet vet technician and Dr. Collins provided, was refreshing and so rare in todays society. They made my girl feel so comfortable, and myself as well. I was so nervous as to what she needed upon discovering the injury to her dewclaw, as well as what the bill would look like. Due to privacy concerns and not wanting to possibly get anyone in trouble, all I can say is that they went above and beyond to help us. They showed us grace and I can't thank them enough for doing everything possible to help me with this visit. My girl left the vet completely unphased with a smile on her face and some antibiotics. I do want to and NEED to comment on the way Dr. Collins assessed everything I brought up. I went to another vet previous to this one and she completely disregarded my concern, which Dr. Collins emphasized and confirmed WAS/IS a real issue and prescribed a solution to! The other vet made me feel I was overreacting and Dr. Collins provided some relief by explaining what was happening to my dog and what was needed. This is a doctor I felt so comfortable leaving in control of my dogs health. I greatly appreciate this and look forward to bringing her back to see him again. If you need to see a vet and are concerned about care and cost, try giving Vetco a chance. A small, local, hospital that really cares about your pet and has professionals ready to help.“
