“Alpha was referred to me by my hairstylist for our 08/10/24 vineyard wedding in Temecula, CA. I wanted someone who was familiar with skin of color and a small business owner. After looking at her portfolio and speaking with other satisfied clients, I booked her services. She was extremely professional and personable from start to finish. Her quote was very transparent and included a pre wedding bridal trial as well as her travel fees (which were very fair). Due to this being a destination wedding I had to travel to OC for my trial and missed my initial flight. Alpha was very understanding and helped me reschedule with ease. On the day of the trial, Alpha was personable and took her time to achieve my desired look. She was so patient, she didn't loose her cool when I had her change my lip color 3 times before deciding on my final look! On the day of the wedding everything went smoothly; Alpha was punctual and prepared-she requested pictures of my entire wedding party with their makeup inspirations several months in advance. She had perfect foundation matches for everyone in the wedding party, nailed everyone's makeup look and was extremely flexible when one of my bridesmaids was late for her makeup time. Last minute I even added blush and lipstick for my Jr bridesmaids and flower girls (ages 4,7, 9 and 9) which Alpha was able to accommodate. For the adult bridesmaids/bride she provided a blotting tissue and lipstick for touchups throughout the day. Despite the day being ~90 degrees, lots of eating/drinking and dancing (read sweat and lots of it), not a single person's makeup smeared. Everyone loved their looks and their confidence shown in our wedding pictures. As for me, I felt and looked amazing; she made my bridal dreams come true! Don't walk, RUN to book Alpha and Sweet Fuss! “What a find and experience! I took the 6 week personal course and learned SO much. Veronica stands out for her expertise and ability to explain and coach students as they develop their skills. One of my struggles was with color matching for my skin tone. Veronica took the time during each class to give me insights on what would work well for me. I had a good familiarity with skin care. The initial class delving into skin care and prep was informative and introduced me to primer and the benefits of a good eye cream.

“I can’t begin to explain how great Daren is! This review is very long overdue, but I’ve been coming to Daren for almost 3 years now. I remember when I first came to Daren, I got a lash lift and tint which I was extremely satisfied with considering I have short lashes. The process was fast and she was super gentle with my eyes/lashes. Daren made me feel comfortable and even put soothing music to help me relax (she always does and asks if you prefer to listen to a specific music playlist). I remember while she was doing the lash lift, she complemented my eyebrows and their shape and suggested I would be a great fit for ombré brows (one of the permanent makeup services she offers). I was extremely hesitant because to be quite honest, the idea of getting permanent makeup scared me at that time. But she gave me more information about it and answered any questions I had. I ended up going home to think about it and ended up booking an appointment a couple of days later for her ombré brows service. I was also super particular with my eyebrow shape since this was one of the first few times I was trusting someone with my brows (I never let anyone pluck or thread them, I always did it myself). Daren encouraged me to come in with my brows drawn in how I like them. She then shaped them to be more symmetrical and natural looking based on how I had my brows shaped. She even showed me how they looked and asked if there was anything I would like to change. Before she started the procedure, she showed me the needles she would be using and showed them being in an unopened sterile package. During the procedure, she first outlines the brows before applying the numbing cream. I felt absolutely no pain during the outlining. I felt more pain/stinging when she applied the numbing ointment which is normal due to having already outlined them and the skin being open. From there, she let the numbing cream take effect and started the filling process. Be prepared to be there for about 2-3 hours if this is your first time or if you’re getting a color correction. During the procedure she kept asking me how I was doing and if the numbing cream was wearing off (so she could apply more) and really made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure. Fair warning, at the end of the procedure you're eyebrows will look bold and dark, but it's absolutely normal and part of the process. They will also feel a little tender after the numbing cream wears off and will be a little red. Keep in mind that with the ombré brows, a follow up retouch is may or may not be needed depending on how your eyebrows healed/skin absorbed the pigment. My mom for example, had great pigment retention and did not need a touch up(she also got her brows done through Daren). In my case, I needed the touch up due to my skin not retaining as much pigment. However, after the healing process my eyebrows have never looked better and I've received so many compliments. I did get a 9 wk - 12 month touch up to darken them up a bit after my first procedure and my brows continued to look great! I recently had my third touch up this past December 2022 with a mini touch up in January 2023 and my brows continue to look great! In addition to lash lift and permanent makeup, I have also had her lash extension service done through her. So far I have tried her signature and classic sets, and soon a wispy volume set for my wedding this coming September. I am always impressed with how all my sets come out and have kept coming back to her. Her sets last for a good while especially if they are well taken care of. Overall, I have been extremely happy with Daren's services and continue to see myself coming back to her. She is super sweet and always takes her time and makes sure you are happy with the outcome of your service! Booking an appointment is also super quick and efficient, and if you ever have any trouble trying to book she will help(: It may seem cliché, but you honestly get what you pay for and I can assure you that Daren’s services are worth every penny!“

She takes her knowledge in skin care to use the appropriate products for that individual. I am a current client of hers since 2019, my first service use with her was for my wedding day. He worked his magic was able to lift my hair up to a very cool, ashy light tone. He really knows how to work the hair with bleach without damaging it so much. I’ve been able to maintain my hair length through the entire process. My hair looks so good, he’s definitely my go to!!
