Their products are good at the store, but calling them and talking to customer service is terrible. The representative was really rude, cut me off, and sounded annoyed to help me. This was the 2nd time I called them asking about my order and both representatives were mean.

I was ready to write a scathing review because Monrovia failed to deliver half of my order, and when I called customer service I got an answering machine. But the next day a representative called me back, and even though I was on the road and did not have my order info in front of me the rep was able to quickly find my order and give me a refund. After cooling down I considered that the nursery business deals with unpredictable supply (failed plant starts, etc) as well as fluctuations in demand. Not a scam on Monrovia's part, just part of the business. And they did give me a courteous and prompt refund.

I placed my first two online orders seven weeks ago. On the 1st order I found the same Monrovia Hellebore at my local nursery for 35% less, the plants were not on sale of damaged. The 2nd order for Australian Tree ferns were supposed to ship 15 days ago and after repeated phone calls and emails I was told they plants hadn't shipped and they didn't know when they would. I will not order from this company again.
