On Sunday morning, I called my usual plumbing company in Merced, CA "24 hr, 7 days" emergency number and left a message with answering service, but got no reply. Next I called 2 other highly rated plumbers who advertised "24/7 emergency service" in Merced, and both were uninterested in coming out on a Sunday. Fourth call was to Roto-Rooter. Friendly, professional intake process was followed up within the hour by text notifications that the tech was en route to the house to help the tenants. After checking the cleanout, tech contacted me with an immediate solution, plus 2 additional options to prevent the problem from recurring. Friendly technician. Super low-pressure on the additional services recommended. Since it was Sunday, I authorized the immediate repair only.
