Just came for a men's haircut, been trying to find a shop worthy of repeat business and I think I have found it. Was able to make an appointment and was seated within five minutes of that time, the interior is decorated very quaintly and I enjoyed the vibe. The owner is very personable and I can see that there are so many regulars. It's like the Cheers of Hair Salons.
I have been mulling over getting a lob with and undercut for this past year- mainly because the people who have tried to do it on my hair in CA seem to not be able to do it. I woke up today and said "I'm doing it" but I decided to go to find out what barbers do women's hair. 2 places I talked to were kinda iffy and sounded like they didn't want to and a few places said they don't do women's hair- so I asked the people of Facebook where I should go. I got a lot of recommendations for the Haircut Shop- so I drove there before I chickened out again. I was greeted by a sweet dog named Buddah first. Guylean, the owner, was amazing. She looked at the photos I brought in, offered advice when I asked for it. She kept me calm and was very personable. In the end.. I loved the results. She did an amazing job. I highly recommend her and will be going back.
Are you tired of going to one of those Chain Chop Shops where you'll get your mop remodeled by a green-haired, Beauty School graduate just back from Grad Night at Disneyland??? And afterwards, you were afraid to look in the mirror??? I was. So when a friend suggested I check out The Haircut Shop in Downtown A-Town, I figured I only had the last of my sanity to lose. I'm so glad I did. It had been years since I had a Professional cut my hair. Guylene is Experienced, Professional, Entertaining and a good listener.
