Head to toe, Dr McAllister can find the source of your pain and then help eliminate it. I love working out, walking, bike riding, landscaping, and dancing. I have had neck pain, shoulder pain from a torn rotator cuff, low back pain, hip and leg pain, calf and foot pain from years of abusing my body by overdoing. if it wasn't for Dr McAllister's expertise in diagnosing the problem, finding the source and then using just the right techniques to treat it I would not be able to do all the things I love to do.

I'm a fairly fit, 54 year old woman who started having very painful, lower back problems two years ago, to the point where I was in pain constantly. I went to several doctors, including surgeons, who suggested pain management treatment. I was referred to Dr. Cohen from a co-worker. He viewed my MRI's and designed a treatment plan for soft tissue manipulation for my lower back and hips. There was no cracking or popping involved. I've seen him off and on over the past couple months and have improved 85% or more!!! I recommend Dr. Cohen for anyone who is needing more than the normal snap, crackle and pop.

If you have lower back pain, sciatica or any other injuries, I would 100%, without a doubt, recommend Dr. Cohen!! DO NOT QUESTION JUST GO! He helped get rid of excruciating sciatica and significant lower back pain I had for years!!! If you want an honest doctor looking to heal you without a catch, its Dr. Cohen!!! So before I came to Dr. Cohen, I had significant sciatica and lower back pain. If whoever reads this and has never had sciatica, congratulations! I hope you never do. Sciatica pain is a very painful sensation running from your lower back down your leg. The pain has been described as one of the worst pains you can experience. I myself, have a very high tolerance for pain and I would describe sciatica pain as excruciating! That being said, before Dr. Cohen, I sought out two different specialists. One was a sports medicine chiropractor and the other a fascia massage specialist. I only went to each one time because they never diagnosed what was causing my pain and their techniques only temporarily relieved my pain. What to do? One day researching how to deal with this, I eventually watched a guy on YouTube talking about the newest tissue treatment called MAR, Manual Adhesion Release. This peaked my curiosity and I did a search looking for someone in California that could offer this new technique. The only one I found close to LA was Dr. Cohen. I sat on the idea about even going to see him because he was in Atascadero and I was in LA which is a 3 hour drive! Due to my pain I eventually caved in and made the drive. So Dr. Cohen did one big thing the other two specialists didn’t even attempt to do; He diagnosed what was causing my pain. I had a disc injury( most likely caused by sitting in my car and twisting to the back to try to close the back passenger door) and had scar tissue and adhesion in my lower back from the wear and tear of being a 40 year old athlete. So from there, he set forth a treatment plan. So every week I would drive 3 hours from LA to Atascadero for treatment. All I can say is; AMAZING!!! My back hasn’t felt this good in years! I had pain relief on the first day I went!! I have to say that I really appreciate Dr. Cohen not only for his expertise but also for just being a awesome human being. From my experience, finding someone to actually really help you in LA without any gimmicks is almost impossible. What makes him so awesome? Firstly, his experience includes working with professional athletes from the Pittsburgh penguins and Pittsburgh Steelers. He has a significant educational background contributing to his ability to heal his patients. He offers the latest soft tissue techniques!! His office personal are awesome! Especially Lisa. Lisa always tried to accommodate my schedule and was always kind and thoughtful!! The office is super clean and has a calming environment. The cost for treatment is exceptionally low!! You don’t even need insurance!! Lastly, you get healed so you can go live pain free with the idea that they don’t want you always coming back!!!
