    This place does not have a decent chair in the room, patients are expected to remain in the bed 24 hours, if they want to sit in a chair they only have metal folding chairs for all patient and visitors, I would never allow another family member to be sent there.

    Spouse admitted from Twin Cities Community Hospital post-CVA. He was independent with ADLs with set up. Virtually no CNA rounds. During two week stay there was no set up for AM or PM care or meals. We were told he would receive showers every other day. Second day he showered with OT assistance. By day nine he had only showered once. When I requested a shower I was told he was to shower on 'even' number days which did not happen. With persistence, the nurse took him to the shower on an 'odd' day over a weekend. Basic nursing care pretty much non-existent.     Unfortunately, we had some disappointing things happen at the Acute Rehab in Arroyo Grande Hospital. My 92 year old aunt was placed here after hip & leg fractures. The admitting staff we spoke with was reassuring that she would be allowed to work at her pace through their thrice daily PT sessions. It soon became apparent that this would not be a good fit for my aunt. The nurses we talked to seemed caring & competent and the staff worked with us to find a better facility for my aunt. What soured us in our experience was what we discovered after her transfer.
