“The wonderful folks at California Heating just installed a Mitsubishi heat pump mini split system for me, replacing the 50 year old wall gas heater. They gave me a competitive and fair estimate and explained the system's pros and cons clearly. They came before the scheduled date, which worked out well. The electricians and installers were courteous and efficient, working with focused professionalism. They cleaned up after themselves and explained what I needed to know. They were supervised by a knowledgeable manager with helpful communications from the Arcata office. Still a few details to finish up, but I'm confident it will all be taken care of in the same pleasant manner.“

“Scurfield had put in a solar panel system for my wife and I about 6 years ago which helped with our electricity bill tremendously. So 6 years later we had some issues with a couple of our panels not working correctly. I called Scurfield and told them the problem. They sent someone out to troubleshoot the issues. After thinking it could one thing, parts were ordered. In the meantime, our whole home dehumidifier got fried during one of many power outages we have where we live. I called Scurfield and asked if they dealt with home dehumidifiers and sure enough they did. They sent Steve out to take a look and then we were provided with an estimate and fair price for replacing the old one. After a couple of weeks, Reed and Spencer came out and started on the dehumidifier and also the solar panel problem. Two days later, we had a new dehumidifier up and running and all of the solar panel problems were fixed. The guys worked from the minute they got here until the end of each day. They were extremely nice and provided answers to all of our questions. They were very professional and at the end of the day made sure everything was cleaned up and neat just like when they arrived. My wife and I couldn't be happier with Ben Scurfield and his company and all of his employees that we came into contact with. Shout out to Ben, Steve, Eric, Wendy, Matt, Reed and Spencer. We would highly recommend them for any electrical, heating & air, dehumidifier and solar.“

“Fast, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. My job was a two day marathon I needed two bathroom sinks. New shower valves in both bathrooms. Complete redo of kitchen sink drain and remove broken garbage disposal. New on/off water valves on the sinks, and finally a new water heater but now there is a solid floor in the water heater space with a proper drain plan. The new heater came with a 12 year warranty. The people at Maples Service can get the job done on time and on budget. My service person even helped me keep my cat in the house which she and I just moved to. I highly recommend Maples Service for plumbing but they do more than just plumbing. I got everything I needed from them and they didn't try to upsell me on any unneeded items.“
