I would like to commend Ms. Blanca ,a front desk employee at Optum -Arcadia, for their outstanding service during my recent visit. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm, friendly smile and made me feel welcome. She handled all of my questions and concerns with great professionalism, patience, and efficiency. She helped me with my paper work even on a busy day and even checked in on me while i waited .It's rare to find such compassionate service, and I truly appreciate the care and attention Ms.Blanca provided.
My mom's been coming here for a while now, and with each appointment, I normally go with her. I've seen the service and care the staff gives and my mom is pretty content with them. She sees Dr. Trang Eng as her primary doctor. She is pretty frequently to make sure she's in the best health she could be! Dr. Eng has always been very patient, kind, and helpful with anything my mom needs. The place is a bit outdated though and can use some TLC! On our last visit, it looks like they were starting to work on it!
This is a review for the way the office is run, NOT the doctors. I have been with Optum for over a decade since it was Healthcare Partners, which was run much better and more efficient. The patient service, or lack thereof, seems to be getting worse every year. I have been trying to make a pre-surgery appointment with my primary and I get nowhere. I get stuck in the transfer loop with the phone service people because no one is answering the phones at the doctors office and I get routed back to the operators every time I am transferred. Since this is a pre-opt request, it is time sensitive, but appointments are hard to get timely and I can't get a live person to schedule it. This is really the last straw, and even though I really do like my doctor, I've decide to finally find another medical group that is more efficient. I also had a billing issue and no one seemed to be able to address it after multiple, multiple calls, not the Optum billing people who blamed the doctor's office for not responding, and the doctor's office people who didn't seem to know what was needed and did nothing. If you can't even get an appointment for your medical needs and get a billing issue resolved, I think it's time to leave. Is anyone in management going to do anything about this other than saying they are "saddened" by our experiences Look at the reviews - we are all saying the same thing!
