I have been using. Jansen music since I was in high school. Jodie is a very dedicated music lover and it'd a local business. I'm glad it's in aptos now. Please support this small local business. He knows his stuff and if he doesn't have what you need, he'll probably get it. I mean, you technically could shop at Amazon. But China makes crap. Local small businesses are the backbone of the economy.

I bought a used ukulele and needed strings and accessories. The gentleman knew exactly what I needed and the prices were good. I got the feeling they are customer oriented, not sales oriented. Parking is decent. The music store is at the opposite end of the shopping center from Safeway. I like this store, you will too!

This place is the best! As a piano teacher I found it near impossible to walk into any store and purchase music books anymore. I started shopping at Jansen's shortly after they moved from Watsonville to Aptos and have always had excellent customer service with a great selection of books. If they didn't have it they would order it for me. I recently moved up to Oregon, so sadly I won't be able to shop there often anymore- but before I left town I was eyeballing a gorgeous etched kalimba in the shop.
