“I recently moved, and after that move, I found that my older Windows 7 desktop would no longer recognize my USB mouse, nor any other mouse I tried. I determined that it had something to do with a driver, but I was unable to successfully apply any driver to get it to work. I contacted Jim and met with him to describe my situation, including what I had already tried. He spent quite a while on it, and in the end, ended up having to reinstall Windows and apply all the updates to bring it up to current (as current as MS gets Windows 7 these days). As a part of that, he suggested transferring my C: drive to a SSD, which I agreed to, and now my system is working again and is noticeably quicker thanks to the SSD. He described to me what he found and did, some of which was over my head, but in the end, he was able to successfully (and pretty quickly) get my desktop working better than it was before. It's been several months with no issues, so I'm very happy and appreciative with what Jim was able to do. If I have future computer issues, Jim is the first call I will be making.“
