“I have been taking my dog Riley to several groomers at All Stage and they have been wonderful to my very anxious boy. Thank you for giving him the atmosphere he needs to relax and have a good grooming experience.“

“I am a new pet parent and was scared to drop my little buddy off to anyone. My husband and I came across Buster’s and I am SO glad we did! Our little Nacho got go be outside and play with all the other dogs, he even got to try out the doggy pool! If you want to take your dog to a wonderful place where they care for your pets as well as you do, send them here! The staff is absolutely wonderful, we will be back!“
“Vicki took a golden retriever and a dachshund at a moment's notice when their dad had to go to the hospital for an indeterminate stay. Her calm and caring presence was just what the dogs needed. We very much appreciate her "stepping up" for strangers who just called her out of the blue.“
“American River Canine saved our family! About two years ago, my fiancé and I adopted a German Shepherd named Bear from the Sacramento SPCA. Bear was, and still is, an energetic, fun-loving, sweet dog. He just wasn't friendly towards other dogs or cats. Bear would growl, lunge, and chase any other animal near him. Walking him just around the block was challenging because he would tug and try to go after other dogs and cats. It turns out that what we were interpreting as aggression, was actually pent-up excitement in Bear. Deric's extensive knowledge in psychology along with his years of experience working with dogs opened our eyes on how to better understand and communicate with Bear. Deric helped us work with Bear on commands like "place", "here", "out" and "leave it". Working on these commands seemed more like training for us humans, but it all paid off in the end. Nowadays, Bear is a much more obedient dog who can be in the same room as our cats without growling or trying to run after them. Walking Bear is no longer a scary activity. It is something we can do with ease. We even take Bear out in public places like Home Depot, PetSmart, and Iron Horse. We are also in the process of adopting another dog for our family too! Both Bear and our newer dog attend Deric's doggie daycare, The Nature of Dogs, twice a week. I can honestly say that if it weren't for Deric, we probably would have rehomed Bear. I am forever grateful for the dedication and insight Deric has given to our family. I would 100% highly recommend American River Canine for any of your canine training needs!“

“If you’re looking for a professional, caring and super knowledge trainer Unleash the Beast is the best! We had a super energetic toy poodle, 4 months old with no concept of commands. We also did not want to use treats so we signed up to the board and train and could not be happier with the results. I got pictures of our pup every day for 5 weeks, FaceTimes and also at home visits and training sessions to help us sustain the behaviour. I feel so blessed to have found this business and am pretty sure we will continue to work with Unleash the Beast throughout my dogs life - this training will improve our quality of life with our pup. I would do it again and again, money well spent! Thank you!!“
“Dr. Fisk and her entire team are great. Knowledgeable, professional, attentive, kind!“
“B Elegant is a great place to take my fur babies to. Jamie is knowledgeable and takes the time and care to make the experience a positive one. My stubborn senior dog was getting to be a bother to people at other groomers. She takes the care it's necessary to make it a good experience for everyone involved. I am grateful to have found myself an ally in care for my fur family.“
“My dog has been attending therapy here for about 2 months and it has helped her so much! The doctor and the girls who do the therapy are amazing!!“
“If you need a knowledgeable dog trainer Cindy is your person. We had few sessions in the past and we are coming back for more (Jan. 2024). She offers different classes so check her web. The sessions we had were certainly worth it! Our dog loves it and gets all excited. We drive about 40 min just to have a dog class with Cindy. She is a great resource.“
“We had heard about places nearby the Bay area where dogs could herd livestock and after doing some research, I found Performance Dog in Action located right outside of Sacramento. After texting Nola my dog's information, she slotted us for a 15 minute evaluation. It's $40 cash for her to train Maple on how to herd goats and also get some energy out of her. The whole location was very dog friendly with obstacle courses and even a manmade pond for dogs to cool off in. Nola recommended us to have Maple soak in the pool before her herding evaluation and it was a great idea because she pretty much dried off during half of the evaluation. Maple was a bit nervous, so she used her barking to herd the dogs initially. After a couple minutes, she used her movements to herd the goats and even chased one goat that left the pack. We were a little embarrassed with how much Maple barked in the beginning but she almost got it at the end! Nola is super patient, corrected Maple, and encouraging! Highly recommend reaching out to Nola to see if this is a good fit for your dog. We really enjoyed it!“
“We have been taking our dog to Bentleys for day care and boarding since she was a puppy. They have a great facility and treat our dog like their own.“
“Rocklin Ranch saved my dog a few years ago when he ate a rock. It was a weekend and the emergency clinic wanted $7000 to operate. Rocklin Ranch got him in (they are open Saturday and Sunday) and did the surgery for about $3000. Super competent vets, great care and wonderful staff. Our regular vet retired and we started going to another vet closer to our house but we switched back to Rocklin Ranch.“
“Don has been amazing to work with. We have two dogs a 4 year old French bull dog and a 2 year old Boston / French mix. Both dogs have been through basic petco training and know sits and stays only when treats were used. After having a new baby in the house we needed someone who could help us learn methods to teach the dogs obedience and behavioral training for our everyday life. Before don, our French bull dog was refusing to walk out past the garage , I would have to drag him down the street. Walks were getting miserable. My Boston would constantly be running and jumping on guests as well as the French bull dog sitting on guests and needing all do the attention. my husband and I would usually be distracted hosting, as we'd be running back and forth to try and get them to calm down. . Since our training with don we have been able to take them on vacation and have people over (even children) with the dogs staying calm and manageable. Our French bull dog started walking again (it had been 1.5 years since I could get him to go on walks normally!!) I was amazed at how calm and obedient they have become, as well as the skill set my husband and I have learned to train them. I want to say it's literally been a miracle, as they were getting unmanageable as our lives were starting to get busier. They have been awesome at sitting calmly and staying when guests come over as well as when my husband and I want calm time in the evenings or are feeding the baby . Walks are amazing now, they both actually walk and keep going with us without stopping or dragging them- or them pulling us! (Amazing) . The only regret I have is not hiring don sooner, and saving my money on all the rewards (treats) based training.“
