This studio really stands out. Leila is the owner and she's beautiful, kind and helpful. She makes you feel welcome and appreciated. This is not the 'cookie cutter' salon. It's got a GREAT vibe. You instantly feel transported to another realm. There is a lot of great art on the walls, surrounded by well-tended plants in a setting filled with undertones of goth mystique. The front door is a portal through which you drift into an eclectic hollow. Jamie W. is my stylist. She is tuned in and attentive to detail. She understands exactly what my hair needs. She is easy to talk to and listens to my input. She will take the time to explain why something may or may not work, and offer alternative solutions when available. I always have a positive experience with Jamie's skills with regard to my hair. Her knowledge and use of color is outstanding. She's an artist. BOTTOM LINE: Those of you who embrace a traditional, old school interior for a hair salon may not find 'The Silhouette Society' to be what you have seen over and over again from an aesthetic perspective. The unique decorating style is refreshing for people like myself who enjoy a relaxing and interesting environment over some clinical, characterless, cold and sterile, starkly appointed box. This slightly hidden gift is a refreshing change from what you may be used to. The mood of the interior is one of the best things about this place. I definitely believe that if you give the styling team an opportunity to showcase their talents, you will be very glad you did.
