“I started jiu jitsu as a postpartum mother wanting to learn self defense for me and my baby...What I have gained is a community of best friends, an environment for my child to grownup in, and a set of life saving skills.I never thought that me - a 30 something year old mom- would be so obsessed with this but it truly is addicting and the most FUN physical activity that I have ever done.I feel like an athlete again. I have lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of confidence. Even won a competition in stockton! This is now an irreplaceable part of my life- and I am so much better for it. Thank you guys.“
“Excellent martial art! Teaches how to roll and fall to start, which let's face it will absolutely get used. Then you learn to escape from being grabbed, to apply joint locks, throw a person, control them on the ground after being thrown, defense against being attacked with a knife or a gun, and so much more! This school is so much more affordable than most marital arts schools! No contracts or testing fees!Best of all the instructors are incredibly patient with kids or adults. The school head has been doing Jujitsu for more than 50 years, and is the best instructor, especially with kids, that I've ever seen. If you're considering trying a martial art or looking for a great art for your kids to learn, that will help keep them safe while teaching them important concepts like respect, confidence, honesty, and being a better person.... definitely try Redding Jujitsu Academy!!!“
“i have done tae kwon do for as long as i can remember and received my black belt in 2015. master kim was the best possible person to learn from, he taught self control, discipline, and amazing techniques. but most of all the respect kids learn to have for others, parents and peers alike, was amazing. i strongly recommend having your kids learn from him, his studio is clean and well-kept. everything about this studio made me a better person and i will forever love tae kwon do“
“My son and I have been students here for 2 years. Sifu Alan Myrtle is great with the kids and adults. You can tell he has been teaching kids for a long time. He is calm and encouraging with them. He also requires they respect him and each other. They love his games! He encourages the kids to compete in Forms/kata and sparring/kumite. The school does well at competitions. For the adults he is a wealth of knowledge on Kenpo and several other styles. Starting you slow and continually letting you in on some more info that helps you get better. Teaching is always sprinkled with a bit of humor. Some of his own black belts help teach classes.“
